The majority of the stewards on AA were not as gentle and friendly as those from Japan Airlines. Japan Airlines were more attentive to detail and your flight experience. All of the JAL flights in this itinerary were great. However the last leg of my flight from LAX to SFO was through Japan Air’s partner, AA which wqsn’t up to par. We were informed only minutes before boarding time of a delay despite the airlines knowing about the delay far earlier (the aircraft we would be taking arriving arrived and disembarked close to our boarding time, for all to see but AA still kept the original boarding time posted until last minute). Furthermore, once we boarded the taxi/wait time was also extended, with the pilot blaming “construction at SFO” for the delay, rather than taking accountability for the the plane’s late arrival coming into LAX. We took off approximately an hour later than scheduled. It’s for these reasons I adamantly avoid American Airlines when possible. Again, JAL was stellar.
Food as always. PA was not clear, especially the English ones. Very limited Hollywood movies. Unlike the first flight I had, this plane has less leg room and less room for my under seat baggage.
I like the braised beef., miso soup,, and green tea. Very little choices of hollywood movies. The PA announcement in English was not very clear and very soft. I could hardly hear.
Please change menu every now & then bc I fly twice within the year and serving the food the same
More updated movies & Chinese movies. The food sometimes overcooked. Prefer to have more neat snacks in between than just choose from the menu. Please change the menu every now and then. This is my second time flying within one year and the menu didn’t change at all!
Food is lagging. Very poor choice. Like vending machine fast food.
Please change the menu more often. The beef is not tender, more choice in ice cream flavor. Dessert is not good too.
Again I paid for an upgrade on my credit card didn’t get it need a refund. . American I not good at gettin in contact for refunds.
I didn’t like the check in process I had to check in at the counter took too much time . Didn’t give the upgrade my seat .
The entertainment system is a mess. Told us to connect to mypal wifi to access movies ! BUT never told us you need to download another app to watch a movie.
Poor check in attitude , terrible food , movies selection poor, food came out cold , service terrible , entertainment system also broke so we had to use a iPad , worst biz class I have ever been on
We did booked shorter layovers but flights changed and layovers are too long good thing Philippine Airlines give us a hotel in manila but here Vancouver to Calgary too long layovers and there is enough sets to wait closer to air canada and they will open 4am.we were here 1 am .our flights schedule for air canada 8:10am.we paid expensive flights but not happy of lay over Vancouver to Calgary.
Biz class is way below what other airlines offer. The food was mediocre at best. A WiFi was intermittent and movies were dated. Honestly the best part of the trip was that the Mabuhay lounge in SFO was closed and they gave us pass to Air France lounge. My advise, fill up there before boarding plane.
The food was good but could be better. Also, less salt would be nice.
The food was ordinary, this could be improved. Sleeping was comfortable enough for several hours sleep. The layover time in Manila Mabuhay lounge for 17 hours was awful. Surely I could have been given a flight to Perth within that time on another airline. At 74 years of age I find that far too long and stressful and will probably not travel with Philippine Airlines again for that reason. The food offering on board and in the lounge was also a little underwhelming. The crew were wonderful and the flight comfort was good also.
Flight delayed by hour for departure. No real announcements or updates until told to start boarding
The economy class sitting/chairs is tight not spacious enough to sit comfortably but for other matters everything is perfect 👍☺️
Every thing was good except our baggage that wasn’t here when we arrived, we understood the cause but hopefully we will get it soon as possible
