How much is a Mercedes-Benz car rental in Clearwater?

They refused to rent us a car, despite literally confirming by calling Budget earlier in the day, simply because we "made the reservation the same day of the pick up." They had keys for us. Nobody in line behind us. Has taken all our info. But saw it was same day reservation and refused. We walked over the enterprise and rented with them on the spot no issues for the same price. Never use Budget.

Didn't like a single thing. Was given an electric car was supposed to have a gas car was the biggest headache I've ever seen. Recieved the car with 20%battery what a joke.

The van we rented was dirty at pick up - also had a lot of nicks and dents - we told the rep I called he said he knew but we didn’t do a walk around together - told him about it being dirty said u should have called me but I had to go pick up my daughter- he didn’t even say we will give you 19 percent off - or a discount on future rentals or any kind of regret -

Car was very nice. Only bad thing was that there was a mixup between the airline package and car rental and I had to pay for the whole car rental from you guys and then get my money back from Allegiant.

Cons:

Kiosk at the airport was unmanned and had to use Alamo for picking up the Enterprise reserved vehicle. The line was long and moved slowly and took about 30 minutes. Very disappointed with that portion of the process, otherwise was a fine experience.

They were vpvery busy but they did their best to expedite the drop off. It was the last day before a two-day New Year’s closing of the store so a lot of people were there

The rental was dirty. Under the stowaway seats was filthy. I didn’t know how to operate the key fob, didn’t know you had to touch the fob to the start button. No one on the lot to help. The vehicle had minor damage on the passenger side that should have noted. Had to go back to the desk to have it noted. The desk personnel were friendly and helpful.

Pros:

I did not have to wait long to pick up my rental in Clearwater. The price was very good for a three day rental in a tourist area during peak season also.

Cons:

We had reserved a compact car, but when we got to the counter, the guy told me all they had was a pickup truck. It was nice and drove well, but was a little difficult to put our luggage in the back seat. We would not have had any room if we had a third or fourth person with us.

Tried 3 times to rent via Kayak with Hertz……ikept getting notices that what you advertised vs what they showed via emil was twice the price ?.. then I got a cancellation notice ??? Bait and switch. Not good. Never again and I will tell everyone

I bought insurance through Kayak. When I picked up the car the SixT agent said we have to put a €1500 hold on your card in case of damage. I never heard of that before. I took the car and after 5 days returned it in the same condition I received it. The SixT agent said all was good and I expected the €1500 hold to be reversed. It’s been more than 24 hours but the hold is still on. Be careful when renting from SixT.

While I had a reservation, I did not rent a cat from SIXT. They were inflexible in working with me to change my reservation (due to airline flight delays.) and ultimately charged my card even though I never arrived for picking up the car ( note I did Not have a Prepaid rate. My reservation was for a Pay on Pickup.)

The car was great. No problems at all, except I had some difficulty with changing lanes, as I couldn't see out the side/back window well. I liked the friendly, no pressure, but efficient staff. A free coffee was a nice touch too.
