I booked a reservation through Kayak for $93.50, but Hertz would not honor the price. They HAD the reservation, they simply wouldn't honor the price. The price they gave me was $166.13 and the person at the rental desk basically said "Take it or leave it". I had no choice but to take it since I had to be somewhere quickly

Horrible As a steady customer and Airline employee Hertz and Kayak have just showed the worst communication experience in my 55 years of renting cars I needed to change the day by one due to illness in family and tried for 2 hours on the telephone Finally getting a outsourced Hertz employee that just didn’t care in the Philippines . I was told I gave to cancel my kayak rental myself. I tried for hours and was told finally that hertz can cancel it however it will be a different rate of almost $78 more Anyway. Not going to waist my time with this experience review because it will be going no where I will certainly voice my experience with yelp etc etc. Buckle in hertz Kayak for your ride of negative Review. Goodbye Hertz HELLO SITX they treated me like a king with my new reservation

The staff was very friendly and even though I didn't get the car I reserved, I really liked the rental they gave me instead. It would be nice if dropping off could be more efficient, especially since the staff was already slammed with trying to help ppl who were picking up rentals for the weekend (they were working as fast as they can they deserve an award), so we were just kinda standing around until someone had time to check the car we were returning. But all in all a good experience and I would definitely recommend to others.

The car had a strong vibration throughout the drive tha.There was clearly a lack of cleaning.. there is a sticky substance around the gearshift. I use the supplied cleaning, wipe wipe to clean .

Pros:

Pickup and dropoff were a breeze

Cons:

Car was filthy, but I rented at the last minute so maybe there was no time to clean? Windows had paint pen on them, windshield had tape on it like it had just been replaced, interior hadn't been cleaned and there might have been mustard on the steering wheel!

Cons:

No after hours returns but no one told me when I picked it up. I had to clean the interior myself, lots of dust, food wrappers etc

Lady at the counter was asleep and had this attitude where she seems to not want to work and just want to get you out of there. Terrible service. We booked at Budget instead which was right next to National and had way better service.

I bought insurance through Kayak. When I picked up the car the SixT agent said we have to put a €1500 hold on your card in case of damage. I never heard of that before. I took the car and after 5 days returned it in the same condition I received it. The SixT agent said all was good and I expected the €1500 hold to be reversed. It’s been more than 24 hours but the hold is still on. Be careful when renting from SixT.

While I had a reservation, I did not rent a cat from SIXT. They were inflexible in working with me to change my reservation (due to airline flight delays.) and ultimately charged my card even though I never arrived for picking up the car ( note I did Not have a Prepaid rate. My reservation was for a Pay on Pickup.)

The car was great. No problems at all, except I had some difficulty with changing lanes, as I couldn't see out the side/back window well. I liked the friendly, no pressure, but efficient staff. A free coffee was a nice touch too.

No chairs in the rental office. You have to stand up while waiting for the only employee to get to you (and it could be a long wait). No modern credit card machine so I had to be in contact with my credit card provider in order to authorize the deal. No way to buy CDW online (I got an email saying the order was confirmed, but was unable to find it using the thrifty website). I rented a car from the exact same location 2 years ago and had the exact same issues. It seems that nothing had changed since. The car itself was excellent, but the headache around the order was a letdown.

Reserved a car and went to go pick it up and upon arrival we found out they had closed before actual closing hours. Talked with another person that was there at the same time and they mentioned thrifty had given out all their cars. I shouldn't have been able to reserve a car ahead of time if they're just going to give out all available vehicles.

Never got the car, after arriving nobody was in the office and after calling multiple times they didn’t have any reservation made to my name despite having the reservation and itinerary numbers. They shielded behind the excuse of making a deposit to reserve and I was never ask that until that moment, plus no cell service to call customer support to resolve the issue with KAYAK. Someone made a mistake along those lines and I never do it again.

Despite having a reservation to rent a car for a single day in Puebla, when we showed up we were told there was no car available. Then the man at the front desk said there was a car available but it would be more expensive due to local tax. We were okay with this, but he then said we needed to put down a deposit of $5000 usd, which seemed crazy for just one day. He then changed the deposit amount to $88 usd. The entire interaction felt like he was just making up numbers. It felt very sketchy so we decided to forget renting a car entirely and just traveled via bus…..
