Captain and Crew were excellent. The Boeing 737-800 was showing its age. In flight entertainment system was sluggish and my Business Class seat on the outbound flight had some mechanical issues. Only real problem was the location of the Gate in Panama PTY. It was a 40 minute hike from Security to the Gate. There should have been some sort of warning about the distance.

I expected the plane to be as the one I took from manaos to Bogota and unfortunately it wasn’t as nice, the sits didn’t recline and there was not onboard entertainment.

I don't think anyone actually reads these comments, so I won't spend much time on this submission. If you want to talk, you know how to reach me. The D/FW manager of Avianca (self-identified), Juan Calderon, insisted I buy an onward ticket from San Salvador even though I have diplomatic status in El Salvador and live here. It cost me $1,393 and Mr Calderon would not let me make the ticked flexible so I could get a refund. He went out of his way to be rude to me. He gave me seat 32K -- windowless window seat in the last row and did not offer to let me upgrade even though there were plenty of seats. I have flown well over a million miles in my life and this is the worst experience I have ever had. I would like a refund on the ticket I was forced to buy. Just awful!

Boarding was very expedite. The chairs are fixed you can't rest comfortable during the flight.

They could offer free food and drink like other international flights.

Flight attendants to show up on time, offer drinks and food.

They charge me $190.00 dollars for the baggage for the bag in side the plane and in the baggage compartment in the plane. The service I got bad bad bad they make wait for a log time and i got to the airport 4 hours before. I don't think I'm going to use you guys never never again no support . And I am going to tell all the guys and people i now to don' use KAYAK

I paid extra for seats up front, I expected unless the beverages wold be included,

Cons: "We were not allowed to check my bag in line 2 hours early. Time listed on e boarding pass was at gate but we were in line 2 hours early and not alerted to get put ahead in lines. Misleading us and 3 others we knew of to not allowed to check bags or go to gate. Had to rebook next available 1 1/2 days later."

Cons: "Four people at the desk in the check in as area, totally insufficient for the whole operation in a busy day."
Pros: "Cree was horrible handling the delayed flight eventually postponed until the next day"
Cons: "Better handling of the situation and not keeping people 2 hours in a plane with no air conditioning"
