We specifically rented a full sized passenger van to be picked up at the Denver airport sight. We called the day before to make sure they had the van (we have had previous bad experiences) & discovered the they did NOT have a full sized van for us. They had one at another location, but, since we had booked through you, they couldn’t give us the same price for it, it would be nearly double the cost. Also, since it was less than 24 hours before pick up, they wouldn’t drive it to the airport location for us. We canceled our reservation.

Absolutely awful. I pre-paid for this car rental and when I arrived to the Payless counter, I was told that no cars were available! Calling Payless customer service was useless. They said that the best they could do is to process a refund... how was that going to help? I was stuck at Indianapolis Airport with no means of getting to my final destination. I will never rent with Payless again.

The shuttle driver went above and beyond to help me when my bag did not make it into the shuttle heading back to the airport. He was very proactive to fine my bag and was very expeditious in his task of getting me taken care of. We had a low pressure tire light come up and we were close to the store. I stopped by to have them look at it and in 15 mins they had replaced two of the tires and had us back on our way. Very impressed.

I loved the car loved the easy pick up and return of the rental car. The airport made it very self explanatory to get the car back with white letters on the road to direct you back to the rental car return. Made me smile. I had to extend my rental due to not finishing the work I came down for and the company made it very easy to extend.

Pros:

Car was fine, pick-up and drop were fine. My issue would be with the signage on the buses (on EVERY window of the bus) letting passengers know you are limiting the number of people onboard and requiring all to wear masks to protect us. And then the driver just keeps on letting people board - every seat was taken, people were standing and maskless.

I did not get the car I had reserved. I reserved and paid for a standard SUV but instead was given a compact SUV. On top of that I was told at the counter that I was getting an upgrade. Definitely felt that this was very underhanded.

I cancelled and received some of my money back, so that is why I rated the experience "good." The partial refund was better than other companies and it was fast. Much easier to deal with than other companies. Evidently the pick-up and drop-off point is the train station, that was the address. I found this confusing since I was looking at a website that supposedly had airport pick-up and return. When I drove my rental car(from Budget) back to the airport, I saw the SIXT lot. So now I'm even more confused as to where SIXT actually operates. If I could figure this location out, I might try SIXT again.

The car was unsafe to drive. The washer fluid didn’t spray. The brakes pulsated. The rear wiper was falling off and the Bluetooth wouldn’t stay connected. The car had 84K miles on it.

Car available with a full tank of gas, for a vehicle with 13,000 miles I expected the backup camera to work. The source of the vehicle did not have the windshield washer fluid filled, hence on returning the vehicle I had extreme difficulty seeing signs and other vehicles on the road and had to finish my trip to drop off the car with the driver’s window rolled down to see. Circumstances were very unpleasant and dangerous !

We drove 45 minutes across the city to the locations we were told to drop off the car at. We were also given a dropoff time that was the same as the closing time (which was noon and we were not notified that they closed at noon.) We arrived on time but could not find anywhere to park in the full lot. By the time we got in the door within 5 minutes of our dropoff time, the hertz desk was empty and there was no one to talk to. There was a key drop box by it said charges would accrue until the next employee arrived. It was the start of the long weekend. It also didn’t feel like the safest area and we were nervous that if something damaged the car over the weekend we’d be liable. We waited another 45 minutes on the phone to get through to customer service. I will say they did grant us a two hour extension and allowed us to drop it off at the airport (another 40 minutes away plus having to catch a shuttle) for only an extra $10 airport fee, but it was incredibly inconvenient. Our rental agreement said we were allowed a 59 minute grace period and nothing about the location closing. Everything else was fine about this rental but that kind of ate up a whole afternoon of our vacation.

It was HORRIBLE and TIME-CONSUMING! We didn't notice that the car we rented was to be picked up at your location in downtown Denver; after first stopping at the Denver airport Hertz, your agent told us to go downtown Denver to pick it up. We waited 20 minutes for the train that took 30 minutes to go from the airport to downtown Denver, then Uber to your downtown location, which closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, and we finally got there at 6 p.m.! Therefore, we called, and you canceled it. Thank you. BUT, we WASTED A LOT OF OUR SHORT VISITING TIME WITH OUR FAMILY, CHASING DOWN OUR RENTAL, WHICH WE ULTIMATELY COULD NOT GET! Subsequently, we rented from another company. On the positive side, the Hertz representative whom we spoke to about this fiasco was very understanding, and, as I said, she canceled the reservation. Technically, this was our fault. I'm an old man and don't travel much now.

Not only was the car when we finally got it filthy and the gentleman did offer to go back and clean it but the more important thing is it. It was a two hour and 15 minute wait because they had 16 people in line and one employee I mean there were people in front of me that were trying to return a car and it took two hours and 25 minutes to return the car. Extremely unprofessional and extremely frustrating to all the people that were in line.

No vehicle (booked an Tesla) available at time of arranged collection. Offered a sub standard vehicle with no compensation, nor offered an alternative upgrade. I had to get a friend to take me to another site to pick up the Tesla. 2 hours delay on a very tight schedule day. Not happy, I would not use again.

The people at the service counter were friendly and tried to be helpful, however, they could not give me the car I had reserved or the equivalent. After an hour at the counter I had to insist that I get the car I had reserved (or equivalent) at the price I had reserved it. In the end, I had to pay more and did not get a 4 wheel drive. I had to add over 100 miles to my travel to avoid a snowy route.

Rental car level was wrong when we picked up, then they lied about the coverage and he added more than asked for. We went to pick up the car and the lady outside then said we have an electric car, but we had a large SUV. Made me prove it in an email after the guy inside said we had a small SUV. It was a joke from start to finish.

The car i rented was running on some old tires. Two front tires wire was coming off. I had to go to the tire shop to switch out the tire, put my trip on hold. I was suppouse to go skii that day but i couldnt. Very dissapointed.

I guess with no one wanting to work, this is the new normal. There must have been a hundred people when we walked in the office. 2 people working. We waited an hour and heard rumblings that they were out of cars. 4 hours later we were pulling out of AVR with a car, which had stayed open late and another employee that had already clocked out came to the airport and picked us up. YAY AVR!!!

I didn't rent a car from Dollar. Their line was more than two hours long. After that, there would have been an hour wait for a car to be cleaned to become available. I rented a car from National next door to Dollar. It took less than five minutes to get in a car and drive away.

Dollar was understaffed and overbooked. They completely wasted my time.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.

-Salesman committed fraud stating insurance was $40 for the duration when it was closer to $50 a day -Salesman committed fraud by implying my insurance does not cover rentals (he's acting inappropriately by hinting knowledge of my personal life....my insurance is not public....and it does cover rentals thankfully....but crossing that customer/business veil is inappropriate conduct and edging on safety concerns... -No handicap accessibility concerns, I am disabled, their disabled stall was closed but when I asked they said it was working, having me walk around the building in pain with my cane to find out it's broken. Not handicap friendly -They did not reserve us the Toyota we requested instead substituting for a Charger GT which consumes more gas and is more inconvenient to park than a smaller Toyota, this business tactic may have been done to increase my chances of scratching the car as I not being used to driving it may be likely to make a scratch or, they may have wanted us to forget about all their surcharges once we filled the GT for $120 then their little fraudulent surcharges seem small in comparison...sunken cost fallacy...disgraceful company...

We were lucky the front desk was empty at our arrival so it was quick. They looked at our car insurance and confirmed we didn’t need their insurance. The car was clean. But if you rent baby seats, they are more expensive s than the rental itself.

We are very desappointed because we did not pay the price we booked (about +50%) because there were lots of additionnal charges like the mandotory assurance (we didn’t know we needed to proove that we had a personnal assurance, if so, we should asked a proof to our insurrance to avoid the additionnal charges), a deposit of 2000$ and we were charged because we paid it by card, the car was old with lots of miles and they told us we were not allowed to drive 200miles away from New Orleans. Hopefully our trip was next New Orleans, but if you want to make a road trip it’s a problem. The last, but not least you can read on the door office that the price can change depending on the customer ! I really don’t recommand this Rental.

There was an issue with the usual check in due to tech problems, Your customer service team still worked diligently to check us in the old way and we were held up only 35 minutes instead of an estimated hour. The staff was friendly with both check in and return.

If you do not arrive within 1-2 hours of your reservation time, they give your car away and don't have backups for you! EVERYONE in that arrived on my shuttle were in the same boat; they didn't have any of our vehicles; they were simply telling everyone that their reservation is cancelled, we'll receive our money back (eventually), and we just need to go elsewhere to find a car last minute, at night. IT WAS A DISASTER! Thank God one of the guys working there took pity on my group since I had my 80 year old parents with me, and managed to find another vehicle for us. It was smaller than what we rented, but at least it was a vehicle. I'm thankful to the employee who bent over backwards to find us a vehicle, but York's policy of re-renting everyone's cars if they are not there within 1-2 hours is CRAZY! Everyone else got screwed. It was an awful experience. Oh, it it took HOURS for all of that to get settled. 0/5 stars.

Green Motion’s office was closed at 6 PM when I went to pick up the car. No other customer service was available. I ended up getting another rental from other company. Worst service. Will never recommend.
