This was the most pleasant car rental experience from start to finish. Our check in agent was so friendly and accommodating, the car was clean and easy to check in and out, and when our flight was delayed 12 hours they were so kind in extending our rental. I will preferentially rent from Sixt in the future!

The car was dirty outside, had no washer fluid and the fuel tank was not completely full on pick up, however it was the vehicle ordered (whereas on 2 previous car rentals the chosen vehicle was not available - not through Avis).

I’m glad they were able to switch the driver name after we booked, I didn’t realize whoever makes the booking is automatically the driver but of course. The staff was patient and friendly. It would have been nice if they brought the car up from the parking spot. I am recovering from foot surgery and had specifically asked if they can bring up the car. No other “complaints” lol thanks team :)

I rented a car in the LA and and returned in Las Vegas. Everything went well. Only at LA airport it took a while for the shuttle appear to take us to the rental office, but the traffic was chaotic. Return the car to Las Vegas was very easy and quick.

I was told when I arrived in LAX that they “lost my reservation” which made no sense because I was able to show them my confirmation email. They were not helpful with resolving the issue and had an attitude like it was my fault. I was given the tiniest car that barely fit my suitcases and halfway thru the trip the check engine light came on. Luckily the roadside agent was pleasant and helpful but we still had to make a detour to Oklahoma City airport to exchange cars, this customer service agent was more helpful but was unable to extend my rental due to the delay, he explained it was a computer issue that didn’t allow him to help, this needs to be resolved on a corporate level because I lost multiple hours detouring to get a new car and was still expected to return it on time. The drop off at South Bend airport is not explained in detail, I circled the lot looking for a drop box to return the key in 4 degree weather, had to exit my car and walk down a walkway with almost no signage until I found a sign that said the drop box was inside, you can’t see this sign from the lot and the Avis website does not describe where it is.

I had booked in advance and got a confirmed reservation for a SUV but when I went to the Hertz office in LA, the car was not available. The staff just shrugged saying a conformation does not mean the car is available. Really? What else do I need a confirmed reservation for but to make sure the desired car is really there? They gave me a car that was damaged, tank half empty, dirty, low tire pressure warning on, much to small. I had to cramp 5 people with luggage into a compact. Calling Hertz was useless, I never got a chance to talk to a real person. I had to physically drive to different locations and ask to get the right car. Finally I did, but this took the first day of vacation.

The car was extremely clean and it was great. The pickup location was a bit confusing, Initially I was not specifically aware that the pickup location was at the Marriott hotel. The address indicated the specific location; however, when the rental indicated it was through Hertz, I took the Hertz shuttle to the Hertz rental location. The Hertz rental location is nearby the actual pickup location and it did not say anywhere on my rental that I was picking up from the Marriott location. A simple indication it was Marriott location would have been great.

I reserved a regular SUPPLIER CHOICE vehicle, and when I arrived at the Herz in North Hollywood they claimed that I reserved an EV, which I did not. I showed them my reservation that clearly says "Supplier Choice" and they still refused to allow me to take a regular vehicle. They said I had to take their EV, BUT the one they wanted to give to me only had around 51% battery and would only take me "161 miles" according to the agent. The whole purpose of me renting a car was because I needed to travel yesterday so I had to have something that would take me around 400 miles. He said my only option would be to upgrade to their only available SUV. As I had to travel that day, I had no choice, and was subsequently charged an extra $212.28 to drive it off the lot. After I was forced to pay the extra fee, they told me their SUV had an empty tank. So, I had to wait at the Herz location for 45+ minutes for them to fill it. Once I was able to drive it away with a full tank, the car was dirty and the minute I got on the freeway the "Oil Change" light came on. I would like, at the very LEAST a refund of the upgrade charge since it was not my fault Herz booked me for the incorrect vehicle type. But they refuse to help me. Also for giving me practically no option but to upgrade for an incredibly steep additional price just to give me a faulty car that needed gas, oil, and was dirty. Because they have not helped me at all with any of these issues, I won’t be renting with Hertz again.

I had a reservation with this bad reputation company, when I got to the counter the agent said he doesn’t have the car I requested, I should either pay extra money to get upgraded car or wait until they got a car, I asked how long I should wait he answered me “might takes hour” trying to enforce me pay them more.

I love how fast the check-in was and check out was even faster. Park the car and leave it there as as that. The car given was great, came with all the current safety features and plug ins for charging electronics.

Despite having a reservation and pick up time for the vehicle, there were a staggering 40+ customers ahead of me also waiting for their vehicles. I had the last and only vehicle in my category. The person at the desk was great but the nearly an hour waiting to be served was unacceptable- especially at the highly inflated rates.

-Salesman committed fraud stating insurance was $40 for the duration when it was closer to $50 a day -Salesman committed fraud by implying my insurance does not cover rentals (he's acting inappropriately by hinting knowledge of my personal life....my insurance is not public....and it does cover rentals thankfully....but crossing that customer/business veil is inappropriate conduct and edging on safety concerns... -No handicap accessibility concerns, I am disabled, their disabled stall was closed but when I asked they said it was working, having me walk around the building in pain with my cane to find out it's broken. Not handicap friendly -They did not reserve us the Toyota we requested instead substituting for a Charger GT which consumes more gas and is more inconvenient to park than a smaller Toyota, this business tactic may have been done to increase my chances of scratching the car as I not being used to driving it may be likely to make a scratch or, they may have wanted us to forget about all their surcharges once we filled the GT for $120 then their little fraudulent surcharges seem small in comparison...sunken cost fallacy...disgraceful company...

The member of the team was purposely using confusing language when it came to purchasing the *optional* insurance policy. I asked him numerous times if it was optional if I had car insurance and he refused to answer my question and kept telling me I needed to be covered under California insurance. The cost would have added another $200 and It felt very scammy. Fortunately, I stepped away to review my options and the manager was kind enough to inform that it was in fact optional if I could show proof of insurance.

We arrived late for our reservation because our flight was delayed several times. We walked in, gave the man my license and he almost immediately told me he didn’t have the car i reserved because I was late and they gave it away. He made no effort to accommodate a situation that was beyond my control and said there was nothing he could do. He then proceeded to make a phone call to his “friend” Sakura who said he would pick us up and rent us a car. The whole situation felt sketchy and unsafe and we walked down the street to SIXT, where we received excellent service. I have rented a car from this Ace location In the past and it was a good experience, but I will never rent from here again!!!

It was horrible. ACE sent me an email with the rental price without insurance. I didn’t add it because they accepted my personal insurance previously. When I got to the counter they denied my insurance and charged me their severely raised insurance rates which came out to be more that the cost of the booking itself without insurance. So my rental was over double the price. I will never rent from them again. I was scammed by ACE car rental company.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. 1. The car agency was closed when we arrived in LA, without any instructions to go to ACE. 2. We had to locate another agency to obtain a vehicle and exit the airport. Terrible experience and to know that they are NOT even aware that the vehicle was never picked up. DO NOT CHARGE FOR A VEHICLE THAT WAS NEVER DELIVERED.
