Pros:The car was quite new.Cons:First, the car was not available on the requested time. I didn’t receive any warning or notification, so I had to wait for 3 hours near the branch to get the car. Then, I was told that it was possible to return the vehicle at Managua Airport at 8:30pm. When I had to call Alamo to add a second driver on the way back to Managua, I was told by Alamo employee that nobody would be at that branch on the requested time, that I should return on the following day and pay an extra night. I had a bus leaving from Managua at 6am on the following day, so I had to pay for nothing and leave the car there at 5am. It was my second big issue with Alamo in Nicaragua, apparently they lie about return options to charge you moreReviewed May 17 2021

Great spot to rent a car in San Juan del SurPros:Central location, free and secure parking at Alamo lot while in town, manager on duty was very fluent in English. Very thorough damage inspection on pick-up.Cons:Did not realize 3rd party liability was mandatory in Nicaragua. Not a huge issue but brought the price up from advertised on Kayak.Reviewed Jun 13 2017

Awesome thing in San Juan del surPros:They were very helpful and it was nice that they were completely fluent in English. I got a free upgrade to a 4x4 which was real nice! Recommend them for time in SJDS.Cons:Everything was great, I had a problem with my card and they let me call my bank back in the states.Reviewed Mar 14 2017
