Conveniently located minutes from Olde Town Alexandria. Great staff, especially the Owner Mr. B. They will go out of their way to please you. Older Motel that has been restored to excellent condition. Will definately come back when we have more time.I found this Motel by reading reviews which were very accurate. It was exactly what I was looking for. Clean, convenient and reasonable price.
Nice and very eager-to-please staff.
The old age of the hotel presented structural difficulties, like a very hard to close door.
This is the best place I have every booked by the internet- no-kidding! Small, family run, and obviously PROUD of their little place. It was VERY clean and well maintained. Location was perfect and I will definitely be staying there again next month.
NoThese people are obviously very proud of their little place, and it is in perfect shape. It was clean, perfectly maintained, and not a stain anywhere, inside or out. The bathroom was spotless. The TV works great and has lots of channels. The room DOES have WiFi, but the promo materials do not mention it. It is very convenient to Old-Town Alexandria, a 2-3 minute drive away. I stay in motels and hotels 20 nights a year, and have paid 3x as much for places that have let me down- this place is a real bargain and the price is fair. I will be moving to the Alexandria area in the next 6 months, and I will be staying there several more times as I travel back-and-forth. I will recommend this place to m...
Comfortable bed, clean room, affordable, room was available on the day I needed it, quiet during my sleep, and the staff was professional.
The location of the hotel is about 20 - 30 minute walk away from the nearest train station that takes me to the rest of Washington, D.C.See above.
Friendly staff and location.
Run down atmosphere. You had to kick the door to get it to open. Desk and chair setup was difficult to manage. You should provide directions on location. We spent over an hour trying to find the hotel.Staff was excellent and accommodating. Very impressive attitude and helpfulness.
Budget Host is a diamond in the rough. Cozy, reasonably priced rooms with modern conveniences in a great location just outside DC.
We had no complaints. Only thing I could wish for would be a coffee pot in the room, and maybe a longer-running continental breakfast (it ends at 9:30), as we like to stay up late and sleep in a bit when on vacation. We had a fantastic stay. The motel is easily accessible from the freeway, so we never got lost. It is within walking distance (just under a mile) to the metro. Up the main drag there are several restaurants and stores (e.g. Target) that are just moments away in a car. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was small, but had everything we could want, including a closet, mini fridge/freezer, and microwave. We chose this motel because it had great reviews compared to other budget motels/hotels in the area, and was very reasonably priced in comparison to hotels in DC proper. We were very happy with...
Great little hotel, conveniently located for an early flight from DCA. Very helpful and friendly staff. Large room, single story with parking in front of the room.
Surrounded by highways, but noise level wasn't bothersome.Great little hotel, conveniently located for an early flight from DCA. Very helpful and friendly staff. Large room, single story with parking in front of the room. Surrounded by highways, but noise level wasn't bothersome. Coffee, juice and pastries provided for breakfast.
A bit worn around the edges, and not close to the Metro.Good budget option for people who are driving; not so much if you plan to use the Metro.
