Close to many attractions but still felt away from the noise and bustle
Yes, no in room coffee maker
Location. Loved where we were located. We could walk to a lot of places - mainly Times Square.
They screwed up our room and my daughter had to sleep on the floor the first night.

The Waldorf-Astoria was everything I expected it to be -- old fashioned elegance with modern amenities and the most attentive staff, from the valets to the front desk to the concierge to the housekeepers in the hallways. Everyone was wonderful. The location was great -- a few short blocks from Rockefellor Center and St. Patrick's and Grand Central and Central Park. I've had family and friends recommend the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, but I definitely preferred the location on Park Avenue -- bagels and coffee and slices of pizza and formal dining of all kinds all within a block or two on the east side. Just perfect.
The air conditioning could have been a little crisper. It felt like it wasn't taking all the humidity out of the air. (Our sheets felt damp. Cool, but damp.) Other than that, I loved every bit of our stay.
The hotel was grand and really well maintained. It is in a perfect location, close to 5th Ave, Grand Central and more. I had a great room at an amazing price for this hotel and was pleasantly surprised at how much I got for the money. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well, although it is a large property so there are crowds most of the time.

The hotel sent us to another hotel that was terrible. Nothing
The hotel that I had to stay in had dirty windows, walls, hair on the floor. The hall was noisy.
Only location other than that the hotel is not a 3 star hotel.
Small room and leaked cooling system made the floor wet. And bath room also dig not had enough space and water spills from the tub since there is no obstruction from the tub.Small room and leaked cooling system made the floor wet. location concierge service
no coffee in room faucets in shower were not safe; dangerous for kids WiFi service in room and hotel only good for one device; never heard of such a thing! Receipt put in door AFTER we were checking out!!
The hotel is in the best location for night life. You can get coffee from Dunkin or McDonald's and located across the street from Penn Station. You can catch the subway from any corner near 34th & 8th. Took the subway to NYU & walked to Chelsea.
The one thing I didn't like was how small the rooms are. We were suppose to have a queen size bed but I'm sure it was a full size bed. What I disliked the most was how you have to pay $270 up front for incidentals. They preferr you put the charge on youIt would have been nice if the windows were clean enough to enjoy the view during the day. At night, you couldn't see the dirt. If you arrive early, be prepared to wait. We stayed six days and every morning when we left the building, there was a long line of people waiting to check-in or out. The resturaunt in the hotel was alright. Pancakes and bacon is a safe bet. Cheesecake is over priced. Go to Penn Station where there is an awesom bakery. I...

front desk was running behind so we had late check in. told they would call my cell and after checking back twice they said they called my cell and got some weird message... Wrong they never called my cell so we did not get checked in until 5:30. I do not take advantage of people and don't expect them to take advantage of me.
Our room was super clean and cozy. All of the staff were super nice and understanding!

Location. Its proximity to Times Square and other sites.
This place does not deserve the designation 'hotel'. It was closer to a unmaintained road-side motel. This place requires maintenance (fixtures are often broken and dirty) and possible remodeling/restructuring to minimize noise.I can't recommend this 'hotel' to anyone. Another guest who was checking out in front of us made the exact same comments I was going to make: please fix everything! The other guest and I both expressed that we will NEVER stay here again.
it was a reasonable price and reasonable location
Very non-customer friendly. I wanted to add a 3rd person to a room and they flat out wouldn't let me even though I offered to pay more money. They were rude and unreasonableI will never use it again due to unfriendliness

The hotel was beautiful & the service was excellent. Very spacious room.
We ate breakfast in the cafeteria which was lovely. My first visit to NYC since I was a child, so I wasn't sure what to expect of prices. We paid over $50 for our breakfast, which I think was outrageous.
Very clean, charming and a great location to so many attractions! Staff was super friendly and helpful in answering questions.
Small lobby so always crowded with guests checking in and out.

Gym is really well equipped, lots of cardio, strength as well as swiss balls, bosu, mats, spri etc. and it's on the park so I would go for a run in the park then stretch and workout in the gym each am.
Everything was fine. Not the newest, but clean and functional.
The location near Central Park was great, even though we didn't have a view of of. We saw a room that did, and it was an amazing view.
We were supposed to have two beds, but they only had a room with one bed, and they made us pay for a roll-away even though they made the mistake. There is an icebox in the room but nowhere to get ice; you have to ask a staff member to get you ice...(cont.) ... from the kitchen, so that's one more person to tip. The hotel is supposedly smoke-free, but only recently so, so formerly 'smoking' floor still reek of smoke. The front desk messed up our wake up call, calling at the right time as well as forty five minutes early. I did room service for breakfast because I had an early meeting- the food arrived forty minutes late, and it wasn't even the right food. The rooms are tinier than the online photos look. Overall, for such a pricy hotel, this was NOT worth the money at all.

I love how modern and stylish the hotel's decor is! The lobby is really upbeat and fun. Staff seems friendly. Room was small (standard queen) but still nice and fresh.
I don't like how they charge you to store your bag. I travel a lot and have never seen this policy before. We only had 1 bag so it was $2 but it was the principal. The hotel was not sold out so we politely called down to the front desk to see if we could be upgraded to a room with a king bed since I mistakenly booked a queen bed and they told me no unless I paid the $50 upgrade fee. It was my fault for overlooking the size of the bed when booking but still that would have made a great impression on your guests instead of me leaving with the impression of them being more concerned with making money than trying to make the guests' stay as comfortable as possible.
Service. I asked for receipt and they blew me off.

the location of the hotel is outstanding. If you want to be right in the middle of it all then it is perfect.
if you have never been here before the sign for the hotel is in tiny little letters under another sign and if you are driving it is very hard to see but if you pull up to the corner of 7th and 47th your there. they need a larger sign for the hotel.it was a very nice hotel, lobby on the third floor, excellent chocolate chip walnut cookies they give you at check-in, perfect location, but even for new York to pay $4.00 for a 8.5oz warm bottle of coke at their lobby bar is ridiculous.
Location was excellent. Rooms great for accommodating more than 2 people. We had our 12 year old grandson with us and the accommodations worked out perfectly!
It was so hot when we were in NYC. We were disappointed there was not drinking fountains or water available to fill our bottles.
