Rooms smelled horribly. Manager not helpful or friendly. He actually lied to me. Bathrooms not clean. Doors damaged. We had to sleep with windows open due to smell. NOT worth the money. I may not buy through priceline again.
Convenient to ISU, and its on the main road with TONS of dining options and WalMart right around the corner. Couldn't have been more convenient.
No! Other than parking being somewhat limited. There's an overflow lot but it wasn't clear if hotel parking was allowed there. I was a little concerned about being towed, but that never happened. Its an older property and a Days Inn isn't exactly a 4 star hotel chain, but we were very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and the hospitality of the owner. My wife wasn't feeling well when we checked in at night, and the woman who checked us in opened up the breakfast area to get my wife some hot tea. Its an older property but obviously well maintained. Room was very clean, very nice new HD TV in the room with many channel options, roomy shower. COMPLIMENTARY Continental breakfast typical, no hot proteins, just oatmeal, but a toasted english muffin, peanut butter, cereal, coffee, juice and a banana is g...
Hotel room door had a large space under the door. Threshold was missing. Did not feel secure
The breakfast was more than a granola bar so I was happy. The room was clean and everyone has a frig and microwave
Ring earplugs the walls are paper thinOverall I was happy for the price and my room did not smell of smoke like others listed it was very clean.
Easy to get to after the game at ISU. Easy to get back on the road the next day. Near a Panera Bread and a Perkins.
The room smelled funny--damp, maybe. It wasn't overwhelming, but it wasn't pleasant. This hotel is conveniently located to Iowa State University. We had no trouble finding it after a night game at the stadium. The staff was not particularly friendly, although we did arrive somewhat late at night (around 11 p.m.), so that might have been part of it. There are few amenities at this hotel, and it could definitely use some updating. However, it was clean and adequate for our needs. Our room (two double beds) had a shower stall, not a full tub. The beds were comfortable, though the second bed was quite close to the bathroom door. Overall, about what you'd expect for a two-star establishment.
The location was great--close to restaurants and shopping and campus.
We wanted a nonsmoking room, but because we bid through Priceline, we had to take what was left and it was quite smoky. The breakfast was o.k., but it was in a very cramped space.I didn't expect much for this price, and I got about what I expected. I wanted a nonsmoking room so I didn't spend much time in the room. The breakfast was minimal. Overall, it was an o.k. place for sleeping and leaving. Although I didn't have my dog with me on this trip, it was quite clear that pets were not welcome at this establishment.
Location was quiet.
The room doors slam by themselves. At ~5:30A, the doors would start to slam on the floor. Not a fault of the attendees, but the doors should be designed to close quietly.
The hotel itself is in need of some updates, the room wasnt vaccummed everyday and the sheets were not changed daily.
Location on one of the main roads
Way over priced.Cost was way too high.
