The Puffin Inn of Anchorage welcomes guests with either cats or dogs. The weight limit of each pet is 40 lbs. There is a non-refundable fee per night, per pet, as well as a refundable deposit. The Puffin Inn of Anchorage offers four different levels of accommodations. Deluxe rooms are in the main building, and some feature a sitting area and/or a Jacuzzi. The building housing the deluxe rooms is three stories with an elevator and interior corridors. The annex rooms are in a building a half block from the main hotel, providing perfect accommodation for wedding parties or other groups. Moderate rooms feature the amenities of deluxe rooms, but in more of a motel setting, where rooms have exterior entrances. Economy rooms are in the oldest section of the hotel, built in the 1950s but since renovated.

The Puffin Inn of Anchorage is proud to both meet and exceed the requirements stipulated by the ADA and offers accessible accommodation in all four types of guest rooms. Service animals are allowed and are not charged a deposit or fee, and the lobby, breakfast area, and business center are all accessible. Smoke detectors have a flashing light. Accessible rooms have either one queen bed or one queen bed and one twin bed, and the bathrooms have toilets with handrails.
