It was in downtown LA.
Pretty sketchy neighborhood miles from the action, the bed was in the wall like a bunk bed, and the boutique art deco was limited to a couple old things. Communal laundry (read 'dog doodoo') completes the picture. We could have gotten a hotel overlooking Grummans Chinese Theater for about the same bucks.
Charming, private cottage, with all you need for a relaxing stay in the heart of Hollywood.

This luxury hotel in Los Angeles is where the stars go to get their rocks off in private (or in public, if they court the limelight). Built in 1920 using blueprints drawn from a French castle in the Loire Valley, Chateau Marmont has a history as spectacular as its architecture, and a reputation as hedonistic as it is glamorous. The arts and crafts ‘castle on...

The location, and the service and cocktails at the bar were great.
Our first night we stayed in a room close to the elevator, and the bell was disruptive. The valet service was slow and very expensive ($42 per day).
I liked the lobby. Water pressure in shower was amazing.
It was old. My room smelled damp the whole time I went to walgreens to buy fabreeze. The carpet was torn and tatty looking. The sink had a visible crack in it. On my last day when I turned the knob it came off. Ironing board had stains on it. Hotel just really needs a makeover and move into the 20th century of amenities at least.

Great Hotel Overall! Staff was very nice and accommodating. Loved the minimalist rooms and the roof top pool/club. Ask the front desk for the Uber cab promo code to get 30.00 in free cab fares for first time app. users.
Definitely a adult only hotel. There were people running the halls until 6am.
Not very much
The staff was unfriendly. The hotel was shabby. Overall a very bad value. I won't ever waste my money there again.

This hotel has a very nice lobby and restaurant.
Parking is valet only- major letdown.
I did not like having to valet park my rental vehicle. I did not read that in the hotel description when I rented it. I specifically rented it because parking was included. I did incur additional by having to tip the valet.

Staff - very friendly. Rooms clean.
Having to pay $88.00 parking for 2 days. The light feature about having to put activate with my room key.
My husband and I stayed at Lux after the concert at Staple Center. The hotel is right across the street from Staple Center. There are lots of restaurants close by too.
The front desk could not find our reservation but I was lucky to have print out with me. Then, we had to wait until after 3.45 pm. to check-in. I wonder if the hotel don't have enough housekeepers .
