This hotel really needs to replace the carpeting in the halls. It’s held together at seams with duct tape. This looks pretty bad. Otherwise generally ok but the carpet condition is something I’d expect in a one star motel.
Pros. Comfortable beds
Cons. Heating only worked when we were actually in the room, meaning it went cold while we were out and had to warm up again.
Cons. I've never filed a noise complaint (or any complaint really) in my life until my stay there. We had a pre-teenage girl birthday party in both rooms across the hall from us. From about 8PM - midnight it was constant yelling/laughing/etc. We have an 18 month old that was trying to sleep, and were very worried they would wake him up. We asked the parent personally to have them quiet down, which didn't work, so we complained to the front desk twice, which also didn't seem to help. I'm not sure if the front desk did anything to try and help or not, but either way, our experience was not positive at this hotel, even if it may not have been primarily the hotel's fault.
Pros. The room had some nice decor. I appreciated the "green" touches.
Cons. Where do I begin? I wanted to relax in a bath, but the water would only fill 1/3 of the way. Oh, how relaxing lying in three inches of water! The big issue: I was over-charged an additional $150. When I called to figure out what was going on, I was told it was the booking site's fault. Repeatedly. I offered to send my reservation confirmation. Then, and only then, was I told they'd find a way to refund my money. And, was again told it wasn't their fault. The money will take 3-4 days to be refunded. With no response to a follow-up email asking why they had charged my account a second time, I called the hotel, was accidentally hung up on and then called back. The same manager from before told me repeatedly how busy she'd been all day. I felt like I was a nuisance. She was kind enough to say she'd look into the root of the problem. And kind enough to suggest I always double-check my room rates when checking in. Even if it's confirmed. First, that's not my job. Second, their mistake is not mine or any other guest's fault. They like to blame anyone else. Even you. Even if they say it sweetly, it's still not right. Traveler beware. Double check your room rate and your bank account if you stay here.
