right across from the beach
No hot water in the morning.
The outside of the hotel looks better than the inside of the hotel. The hotel is located in a quieter section of the boardwalk.
I received a text message at 2 o'clock telling me my room is ready, when I arrived at 6 o'clock my room was not ready. They upgraded me to some sort of better room however it was disgusting! Holes in the couch, dirty windows and Doors that were falling off the hinges. The valet boys do not help with the bags. They only allow you to keep your car until 12 o'clock for an additional $20 fee
The hotel is conveniently situated across the street from the beach and boardwalk.
We had called and asked to arrange for parking but when we arrived we were told that they were all booked up because of a wedding and we had to park at meters. Our bathrooms were dirty. There was a safe in my friends room but none in mine and when I asked why I was told that it didn't matter anyway because they didn't have the keys for them. My friends bed sheets were stained and she asked for housekeeping to change them and was told that that was normal wear and tear. We wanted to go to the hotels bar located on the first floor but we're told they were closed until August but then they opened the next day. Right now it's 1:22am and I'm sitting here waiting for about an hour now for someone to come because our tv doesn't work. Not worth the hefty price per night. It's definitely a 3 star hotel at best
The location and the view were great. The pool was also nice.
We spent $600 for two nights at this hotel. A beach weekend for our family of four. When we checked in, they said we could park our car for the first night only (which we had to pay $20 for) but we'd have to move our car to street parking by noon the next day because there was a wedding and they wanted to reserve the onsite parking for wedding guests. That seemed crazy to me. The street meters had a 3-hour limit, so we spent our weekend walking back to the street every 3 hours to feed the meter. A good hotel doesn't do this to their guests. The building looks pretty run down from the outside. It's old and there were some broken windows. Our room was fine, but the overall experience wasn't worth the money we spent. I'd look for something else next time.
Guadalupe at the front desk was awesome!
Good location across the street from beach. Updated, modern, comfortable hotel.
The valet parking still has quite a few kinks to work out. It took an exceptionally long time to get our car at checkout.
Location. Staff was very friendly. Room was nice. The staff quickly addressed and shut down the large party happening next to my room.
Paper thin walls and understaffed. People's rooms weren't ready until 5 or 6pm.
The restaurant was very good for dinner. Nice location and close to Asbury Park.
No heating, weird decor, outdated fixtures and disappointing continental breakfast.
Convenient, right next to the oceanfront, reasonably priced
The room was very modern and spacious. We loved the decorations. The staff was polite & inviting. The hotel had a unique design with a very nice garden area and it really gave the feeling of warmth and thoughtfulness with the guest in mind. I felt like I was in Europe with a beach outside!! :-)
If I had to pick one negative, it would be the parking. I'm sure that's been said before. There needs to be a direct line to the back parking area from the hotel that would make it less difficult to move luggage.
It's close to our children and we can walk on the boardwalk.
They refused to honor our stay three nights and get the fourth night free!
We booked very last minute on booking.com and were very surprised at how nice the hotel was! Its HUGE and really nice....we were there for only one night as we spent Sat and Sun on the beach in Long Branch with friends, this was very convienient as it was only about 5 miles from Pier Village in Long Branch.
The Berkeley more than met our expectations. We were very comfortable and the staff was helpful and friendly. Melissa especialy went out of her way to get my husband a remote for the TV which resulted in our getting a new flat screen TV.
The rooms are beautiful and extremely clean, the staff was wonderful
Wish there was more to do in the area
