The location was great for the things we came to do.
Parking spaces seemed limited.
Centrally Located to the city.
The hotel needs a better sign to find it. The hotel is located in a complex with other hotels, there is a tiny sign at the entrance that directs you down a dead end street. There are two doors to the hotel, the 'registration' entrance is not marked.Furniture in the room was damaged. The TV had intermittent reception. The bathroom was clean, but the rest of the room and public spaces were filthy. We were afraid to touch anything and concerned we might bring unwanted 'guests' home with us. We will never stay at a Roadway Inn again. If you're looking for a 'stop and flop' motel you might try a motel that rents rooms by the hour for better cleanliness.
Very reasonably priced given the location and for exceeding the standards I would expect from a one-star hotel.
Bit of a mildew smell. Cleaning products did more to draw attention to it than mask it.When I have an extended stay in Asheville and need a clean bed/shower on the cheap, this is my go-to hotel. I don't get the one-star rating; two seems a better fit. The place is a bit old and some rooms have a bit of a musty smell to them, but I've encountered far worse at higher-rated hotels. The room size is adequate; the location is fine assuming you don't mind a 5-minute drive downtown; room entrances are on the interior; front desk staff were pleasant if a tad undertrained; was able to sleep in late and still have no problem getting my room cleaned; plenty of towels. If you're not looking for the bed-and-breakfast or expensive lodge experience and don't intend to spend all day in your hotel room, I highly recommend this hotel.
Very convenient to my location, friendly staff, safe area.
Not really.very convenient to my business area.....staff is friendly and helpful, area is safe and quiet....if you're picky, hallways are a bit narrow and rooms are somewhat small, but difference in price (this one's quite reasonable) make those things quite livable....nice big screen tv in a clean room in a nice neighborhood.
