NothingIt was Americas Best WORST hotel ever! We checked in and checked out immediately. The room was dark and dingy and smelled as though animals had been living there. The stench was terrible. Towels were threadbare and stained. The bathroom sink wasn't clean. The only positive was that the gentleman that checked us in was very nice but he seemed genuinely surprised we were leaving! We will never stay at an Americas Best again.
The staff was friendly, and for a hectic game day, it was relatively easy to get a cab to downtown areas.
There was ants everywhere, burnt bed sheets, carpeting in horrible condition, toilet dirty, bathroom not properly ventilated, shower curtains nasty, and AC smelled.I would highly recommend staying elsewhere if you can. For the price this hotel is not worth it, unless it's gameday and you really can't find anywhere else to stay. Pros 1. Friendly staff 2. It's still in Athens. Cons 1. The AC smelled funny 2. The entire room was infested with ants 3. Towels were rough and scratchy. 4. Room service was impatient and ended up not even cleaning my room 5. Carpeting in poor condition 6. Bathroom not properly ventilated 7. Shower curtains were dirty and wouldn't stick, and wouldn't keep floor dry 8. Burnt sheets and bad quality 9. Location difficult to get to (must U-turn from Broad St) just to name a few. I would avoid if possib...
Being 3 miles from UGA campus was the best thing. Staff was friendly.
The room definitely needs some renovation. Two out of 4 lamps broken, toilet handle broken, bathroom door broken, refrigerator door broken, holes in walls, rotten wood in door frames, room door didn't close properly & cigarette burns all over bed covers.Like someone else said, if you are just looking for a place to sleep at night, it's OK. I forgot to ask for a no-smoking room, and our room was very cigarette stinky, and it was just too late at night to ask for another room. We did feel safe there, so that was a plus. Don't count on swimming in the pool - it was closed. Area for breakfast was tiny, and so we didn't even try the continental breakfast. The place was just run-down and in need of repair.
Nothing, just a cheap place to lay your head...
The room was plan and dark. The bed felt like concrete.I will not stay there again.
The window was broken. It smelled like smoke. I tub was disgusting. I'm glad I didn't need to bathe. There were ashes in the floor of the bathroom. There were burn marks on the countertops and toilet seat.
I did not like the staff. I did not like the room - it smelled, it was moldy, there was not enough blankets, it was cold, you could hear everything from the other rooms and outside. It was very uncomfortable.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was gross and uncomfortable.
The staff was friendly!
We got what we paid for. Next time we will spend the extra money.
