Close to the river
Our room view was to the freeway instead of the river
- Great location. - Clean Room. - Comfortable bed. - Decent value.
Hotel is currently undergoing a needed remodel. Some portions of the hotel looked great, others looked pretty run down.
Staff was great; friendly and very helpful.
Someone else already mentioned the shower water temperature. It was hard to balance it out to a comfortable, bareable point. Way too hot. Other than that, room was pretty alright for the price.
Great Location. That's about it.
The facilities are really run down. Even the chromed towel rack in the bathroom was rusted. The shower delivered two temperatures, very hot and scalding. The hallway carpets were dirty. The saving grace for me is that I got in late and I left early so I did not have to spend much time in the hotel. Bottom line, this could be a nice facility if they had a major remodel. In the mean time I won't be using it again.,
The pool was very nice
The place is just filthy and rundown. The carpet look like it was 30 years old and everything in the room and in the hallway was just kind of disgusting. The whole third floor had a gross smell to it.
This is a great stay/value for your money. My main concern staying at any hotel is cleanliness. A clean bed, clean bathroom, and good breakfast. Holiday Inn Towne Lake fit the bill. It's right off Lady Bird Lake and a 20 minute walk to 6th st. I would definitely recommend.
