I scheduled the drop-off downtown Paris before 8 p.m., but while trying to return the car, I discovered that the closing time for Saturday was 5 p.m. I had to call Avis to find a location to drop the car off at. I was able to return it, but I had to drive from downtown Paris to Orly Airport in Paris. My only issue was that I was allowed to schedule the car's drop-off at a time when the business was closed.

I booked a car rental for 96 EUR through Kayak. Upon arrival at Avis Zadar, I was told that without purchasing their mandatory insurance (35 EUR/day) or providing a credit card hold of 4000 EUR (which exceeds my card limit), I could not pick up the car. I had valid travel insurance covering the deposit, but it was rejected. This condition was not clearly disclosed during the booking process. I was forced to pay an additional 245 EUR to travel with my family. I am requesting a refund for the difference as the final price was misrepresented.

The rental pick-up was a bit tedious...very long wait in line...

The car was dirty when we arrived. Fingernails and grime. We started driving and later noticed that the oil hadn’t been serviced. When we got up to speed, at 60 mph the back tire had a wobble to it. Especially when braking. We tried to do the right thing and return/swap out the vehicle and the Avis agent sent us on a wild goose chase to try and rectify what we were dealing with. Long story short, they didn’t have any vehicles to swap us to, so we were stuck feeling unsafe the entire rental.

The pick up and drop off were very poor. It took a while to get through a very long line at the airport to get the car. The car was great and we enjoyed driving it very much. The drop off was a disaster. There was not enough room to drop off your car. It caused a major traffic jam inside the garage where the cars were dropped off.
