Price was good (booked through a 3rd party, not directly) and ended up with a free upgrade. Downside was I was double billed for the rental portion. Waited a week to see if they would realize I paid the rental portion through the 3rd party, but didn’t. I was able to get the amount refunded, but obviously there is a disconnect between the 3rd party agent and the rental company. The past few years with the spiraling cost of living, I have become quite negative and assume this was another situation where one of them was hoping I don’t look at my credit card statement and they come out with a win. But that’s where I am now and you can’t tell me they weren’t able to match up my payment to third party with the reservation that was booked. They had everything correct on the reservation but the prepayment. Uh, that’s odd…

Booked with Kayak!!, went to pick up car, no cars available!!!!! Our trip our trip was ruined !!! could not travel anywhere around and see Costa Rica!! Avis said , Kayak made the problem!!

Terrible. Had to wait in a huge line for over 1 hour after a long flight. Only two clerks were available, and at one point there was only one clerk. Everyone in the block long line was angry, stressed and complaining. The other car companies next to us were well staffed and had no lines. Then when I finally got my car it was low on gas. I'll never use Avis again!

Pickup lines at RSW are 1 to 1.5 hours; minivan itself had very loud passenger door squeak when opening/closing (like it previously had cheap bodywork). Return at RSW was so full I had to leave minivan in a parked "traffic jam" just outside the rental garage, because nobody was moving the cars forwards or directing us to alternate area.

Seemed like they didn't have any cars when we arrived. Had to wait quite a while to finally get an available car.

All was great with Avis. The company we went through to get the rental is abit shady.

My rental agreement at sign up said, “A Kia Soul or Similar.” When I arrived at Avis, they compelled me to take an EV or be up charged for a gasoline vehicle. This proved difficult since I was taking a long trip to Charlotte, NC from Savannah, GA. I was three hours late to my class because I could not find a suitable charging station. Keeping the charge on the vehicle proved a challenge to say the least. They didn’t even provide a power cord for charging at home.
