Pros:Very affordable, with hot coffee and instant oatmeal for breakfast, very helpful staff. It's a good place to stop before visiting Death Valley, especially if it is too cold to camp. Bring snacks, since restaurants are limited and may be closed when you get there. Overall, good value for what you spend.
Cons:The TV did not work, dead spider in the otherwise clean bed.
Pros:The bed was comfortable, the place wasn't dirty, and the facilities in the bathroom worked very well. It's also walking distance to the few restaurants in Beatty. Essentially, it's what you'd expect for where you're at/what you're paying: A functional, no-frills hotel with easy access to Death Valley NP.
Cons:The walls are paper thin, I could easily hear the kids in the next room. Internet is okay for basic browsing but isn't good for much beyond that (they tell you that in advance, though). Front desk isn't 24 hours, it closes at nights and for a lengthy midday siesta.
Pros:For the location (Beatty, NV) "in the middle of nowhere" it is quite reasonable hotel in terms of overall quality per money. Stuff was friendly.
Cons:I would expect more bath supply, towels...
