It was a total breeze from start to finish; Great location, Great staff, Clean, Quiet Comfortable!
I really enjoyed the facilities and the proximity of the hotel. It was great that the hotel was attached to the PATH as well.
They're staff were very accommodating I got a bunch of random charges for 'custom package' and 'upgrade' charge and didnt even get the room i had requested and paid for! It ruined my stay because it felt like a waste of my money. I ended up going down to have them removed, upon check out I had to request the removal of the fees a second time
Great room, very clean and spacious. Excellent location walking distance to Eaton's Center, St. Lawrence Market and theatre district. Close to Porter shuttle hotel. Workout room was small and parking and drop-off area very busy. Breakfast very expensive at the hotel, but Starbucks located across the street.
Breakfast nothing everything was excellent
Great customer service, excellent location, reasonable price for the room service and the entire stay, kitchenette with all gadgets you may need, great facilities... The only drawback was a somewhat noisy AC unit but that did not prevent us from sleeping in a very comfortable bed.
The amenities in the room were very nice; good entertainment and comfort. Great location to downtown core. Parking and access to the hotel is a little difficult, only because it's off Yonge St, the main street downtown.
I love the design and functionality...the bed is soooo comfortable. Gym was small but nice. air conditioning unit was a bit loud, but not unbearable.
Thanks to Collin at the front desk, my stay was perfect! He not only upgraded my room, but he ensured me he'd personally handle my concerns and he did just that. The hotel is central to everything downtown and you can walk everywhere. Parking is a drag, as you must valet park and it takes a minimum of fifteen minutes to get your vehicle if you're lucky. It also cost 45.00 a night to park...
Getting away Clean quiet
Food and staff were excellent at the Bistro, and location was good. Water pressure was poor in shower and had trouble getting cold water in shower.
Location Rude staff that are very non accommodating. Very dated rooms
The hotel is perfectly situated for business in downtown Toronto. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is excellent (seriously, the HR people know how to recruit exceptional team members). I stay here every time business takes me to toronto Small problem in my room linked to a previous occupant, the staff rectified the situation in record time.
Didn't like nothing there at all .
Sports bar has closed so now if you want to eat you have to leave the hotel.
Perfect location! I lived in Toronto for years and it's only when I returned that I noticed the Chelsea Hotel. It's a 10 minute walk to Eaton Center and Dundas Square, a 12 minute walk to the skating rink/Toronto sign at Nathan Philip's Square and a 5 minute walk to the subway station. My boyfriend and I were able to walk home from our New Year's Eve party. The room was small but clean and functional, and the bed was heavenly. The daily cleaning was done quickly and check in was a breeze. Next time I hope to take advantage of the facilities more, but this was a quick weekend trip. I'll definitely stay again. The wait for the elevator was a bit ridiculous on New Year's Eve. They give out wrist bands on holiday weekends to ensure that only patrons are allowed entry and security is very tight (ie. There was a police officer present when we returned from our NYE partying). I understand their attempt to keep out the riff raff but if you are at all vain, the white wristband may not be your favorite accessory.
The staff was helpful and polite when dealing with some room issues, and lowered my check out price accordingly. The hotel is in an ideal location for downtown Toronto The room and hall carpets need cleaned/updated. When checking in they did not have the room with a Queen size bed that was requested. Moved us to a room with King size bed . The room was handicap accessible. There was no tub,but a shower with a hand held spray nozzle. The nozzle was not attached properly, and flew off when turning on the shower. Water went everywhere(image a cartoon scene). The hotel maintenance crew tried to repair while we were at dinner, but did a poor job that did not solve the problem. Basically, we had to take a shower using a garden hose. Staff moved us to another room the next day, with many apologizes .
Location , express check out Standard rooms need upgrades
I booked a double room via Kayak and was offered a queen room because that it was they told me was booked for my online deal. This did not make me happy as I had a voucher for a double room. What if I had brought all of my family and then was told that I could not get a double room?! We would have to find another hotel.
Good location . Hotel is old and rooms need to be rennovated. Beds were very small and uncomfortable. Parking is expensive. Our power went out in the bathroom and still after 2 calls to the front desk no one came to fix the problem.
Front desk Smelt like marijuana. The neighbors were obnoxiously and drinking in the hall water.
It's a great location in Toronto and the staff was quite good. The room was dirty and the bathroom absolutely filthy. The AC didn't work and it took several calls to get things resolved.
Location to everything downtown Atmosphere in the floor corridors
location, staff very friendly rooms and hallways need updating
The Royal York has a great location and fabulous staff. The rooms are beginning to be renovated and the bathroom is TINY but they work. When they have good prices this is a great option!!
Quick getaway with the wife!! A little romance and peace and quiet! Enjoyed the ambiance, food, drink and service in the Library bar! Highly recommended
Loved the Olive Bar and convenience of dinning and shopping all in one :-) Nothing...
Deluxe Rooms are by far larger and more comfortable than Fairmont Gold Rooms, 500 sq ft vs 250 sq ft. I stay with Fairmont a lot and the old Canadian Pacific Properties are very grand. Staff is excellent. Restaurants offer decent food at a fairly high rate which you would expect at a hotel. The fireplace in my room is silly and its fake, they should just put a fern inside it. Housekeeping crew was great. I always tip them. The air conditioner was awful in 17-135. They tried to fix it twice. It was hot outside and the room was cooler but not cold. There was really nothing else I was unhappy with as I love Fairmont's high standards.
staff was friendly. room was clean feel like iv stayed in better rooms for a lot less!!!!!
Comfy bed Delicious, impeccably cooked steaks Nice pool area El Labo soaps smell amazing Room service was very fast and friendly Very few gluten free items on menus Several times we had a hard time getting in touch with staff (consierge, maintenance, bell desk) Room was incredibly cramped and looked hastily repaired or shoddily renovated Room smelled of previous tenants body odour or cigarettes Closet light was clicking on and off sporadically Steam room in health facilities seemed unclean/didn't smell good
The staff was wonderful. They truly went out of their way to help me with my Internet problem. The view of the office building from my room. The fire alarm check that went on way too long. The construction down the hallway was very noisy. I could hear conversations in the next room and in the hallway.
Beautiful newly renovated room, friendly staff and great location. The room could have been better sound proofed to noise in hallway. Could hear conversations of passerbys easily in the middle of the night.
Amazing staff, decadent surroundings, great views, incredibly comfortable beds and accommodations, Union station is across the street for transportation and the hotel itself is like visiting a landmark - it's beautiful. The price is high, but it's for all of those reasons. Thin walls. A lot of the comfort and decadence was dampened by some people who decided to have a "get together" around 11 PM next door that continued until about 2:30 AM. When it was down to 2 people you might guess what the next hour sounded like. Needless to say I did not sleep. I had to check out for an early flight around 4 AM, so I didn't bother kicking up a stink with management. I will next time though. I would stay again, but will request a room not joined if possible. Other than the inconsiderate neighbours, I loved the hotel.
central location room was hot. small too. hotel needs h full redo. looks and smells old.
Location, location, location... Awesome accommodations! Construction rescans renovations that were occurring when we were there...
Centrally located Affordable valet parking Helpful staff Quick check in Quiet room Clothes iron was damaged No blow dryer was provided Sink did not hold water for shaving, stopper was broken Mirror was showing signs of corrosion Bathroom door made entry/exit difficult No USB charging ports Cleaning attempted to enter my room at both 7:30 AM and 8:45 AM. That was very unwelcome.
Very friendly and helpful staff
Not a thing
Great location. Easy to walk to Harbor front, CN tower, Aquarium and more. All just 5 mins walk away, great for kids of all ages.
The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was big and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Location and comfort. Price
Staff was competent and very friendly. Concierge helped me several times and obtained discounted tickets to Aquarium and Hockey Hall of Fame. Hotel overlooks railway and train noise started early in the morning and was clearly heard in the rooms-go street side. No refrigerator or minibar in the room and no movies on TV.
Location was terrific Hotel system was down at check Iin. So didn't get to room until later. Ordered a cab for 5 people, 5 hours before we needed it and it didn't arrive. Staff ran around blaming others, but still no cab arrived for 5 people. 20 minutes later, we ended up taking two cabs. Next day (Sunday) we asked for a late check out of 1 pm (only an hour after regular checkout time). They said no, we could have until 12:30 only. The price of the room far exceeds the services provided.
Great room, awesome amenities, and the breakfast buffet made getting up early for work much easier. I will come back when traveling personally to enjoy things without having to worry about my work schedule.
Despite the efforts from the staff, you have to avoid this hotel at any cost. Avoid this hotel until the room as renovated. Paint is missing. Dirty furnitures. Don't sit on the sofa or you have to clean your clothes immediately. This hotel sounded like a nice deal. How disappointing. Need a complete renovation and avoid this place until every room is renovated. Staff was nice but they cannot change the fact that you have a horrible experience, a disgrace for a 4 star hotel.
Very nice inside and staff was very polite and helpful didn't see a bar where we could have drinks One of the hot tubs was not working
Had a great time visiting Toronto and our stay at The Grand Hotel exceeded our expectations. This hotel is located in what I think is a perfect location, within 5 blocks of Young / Dundas square (the times square of Toronto) which is right across from the Eaton Centre. The subway takes you right down to Rogers stadium and the CN Tower, or you can easily walk it. Location 5 plus, hotel 5 plus, facilites 5 plus. Would definately stay there again. We took the paid upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite and stayed there with my brother and wife. It was a two storey suite - lots of room for everyone to spread out.
Great decor, fantastic breakfast buffet, amazing door and front desk staff, underground secure parking, large bedroom window view, pool, free wifi. TV was not hi def, limited channels, hot tub was closed when we were at pool area.
I had never heard of this hotel and booked it on a whim by just looking at pictures online. The lobby, the hallways, the common areas etc... all fabulous. Didn't even visit the pool or hot tub on roof, but heard it was great! Plenty of space in the room, nice hardwood floors, restaurant is great - really good food and a great atmosphere. I would 100% stay here again. If there were 2 bathrooms in the junior suite that would have been even better. Hotel is across the street from Salvation Army so not the most ideal location but easy to walk to different locations and getting a cab is pretty easy.
The staff in the restaurant and maid staff were really nice. There was a breakfast buffet every day. Complimentary water. The room was good sized and nice looking. Mini fridge and microwave were useful. Was within walking distance to many places. The gym there was okay. Cable tv sucked. Some of the channels were stuck or didn't have sound. Wifi went in and out. The breakfast buffet is just the same thing every day. They should mix it up a little, like french toast one day and waffles the next. The couch and original pillows on the bed were really hard. Had to request other pillows to sleep on.
Great front desk personal.Free shuttle service is great.
Good looking place. Good facilities. Poor location. Some minor annoyances such as the room literature having the incorrect times that breakfast was served.
STAY HERE! got a group of 5 traveling for New Years? Rent their suites! It's so worth what you pay every single penny. Defiantly made you feel high class and who doesn't want to feelnlikenthat on New Years?!?
Staff is really nice. Room had a great view and the hotel is located at the heart of the financial district and a walking distance from major Toronto attractions. Great to do business and explore the city. They charge extra for wifi. Free wifi is provided to some SPG members under conditions that are not consistent across Sheraton hotels.
a lovely room and comfy beds, the staff very attentive and professional this days charging extra for wifi in the room seems excessive the water in the shower could be few degrees warmer for comfort
We planned a quick trip to Toronto for our anniversary. We were just staying for the night with plans to take a dinner cruise along the Toronto harbor. The proximity of this hotel made it possible for us to walk to our cruise from the hotel. There was parking for our car in the City Hall parking lot directly across the street from the hotel. The room was clean and spacious and we got a very reasonable rate booking thru kayak. The hotel is located in the heart of Toronto's harbor front, which was great, but there was a Toronto Blue Jays game the night we checked in and the traffic getting to the hotel was pretty bad. In general traffic was extremely slow. Our drive from Rochester, NY to Toronto typically takes around 3 hours. We spent seven hours just getting to Toronto on the day we checked in. The NYS thruway was backed up. The Bridge to Canada was backed up. The QEW was backed up. And downtown Toronto near the Blue Jays Stadium was backed up. Just made for a stressful arrival.
Very clean and comfortable, good lighting and great view. Exelent location to downtown entertainment, food and attractions. Ice box or mini fridge is always a nice for a stay but not included in the standard room. Cable included in room not easy to navigate.
The room and the view. The being woken up at 5:30 am by a fire alarm that went on for 30 minutes, only to have a jack hammer being used 2 hours after that. Barely anyone in the hotel spoke to us, and it took over an hour to check out and get my deposit back. Will never return.
Comfortable bed, clean, great location.
Front desk staff, comfortable beds Room cleanup missed a couple items
The staff was fabulous The carpet in the room was filthy. There was a red stain between the beds that was unacceptable.
Front desk staff was giving us wrong information to gain access to pool. We made 3 different attempts to the spa facility to try to use the pool on the 3rd floor & had our keys reprogrammed twice & later found out we were not using the right elevator for access. Then the Hot tub jacuzzi was out of order during our entire stay, but front desk was not aware of.
Great hotel in a great location. Excellent staff and facilities. A very festive feel throughout with the MLS Cup in town along with the holidays. Would highly recommend.
The staff were amazing! Very nice hotel. Wifi not included. Not crazy on the fact that they make you pay for it.
The pool and the view I like the service and the cleanliness excellent location
I came to the hotel because I was leaving my boyfriend and had a day before I could go back to America. I figured I'd splurge on myself and enjoy a soft comfty bed. Overall things were lovely and I enjoyed my stay. I wasn't told about the deposit that would be taken from my card or the fact I would not get it back. Also being told utensils cost 4$ and there were no napkins or paper towels in the suite, my only issue
The location couldn't be better! And the concierge, Jing, was very knowledgeable and helpful! The free wi-fi was a life saver as I was traveling internationally, and the business center was very helpful when I had to send a last minute invoice. I enjoyed the 24-hr sauna and found the beds to be comfortable. The restaurant tended to close earlier than their posted hours, which made for some disappointing evenings. Also, the tap water has a distinct murky color which was unsettling. My room was next to the hotel's storage closet, so each morning I was woken by slamming doors and bustling about.
The hotel staff were very friendly, especially at 2 AM on Friday, as our flight was cancelled and we had a round-about journey to Toronto from Phily. Breakfast was very good, and wait-staff for it and the dinner on Sat. were cordial and welcoming. We were made to feel welcome, even though our soccer team was playing Toronto for the MLS Cup.
Location No hot tub
Beds were very comfortable Very clean rooms. I like the cookie at check in. Very modern and well Kept
It was very close to all main attractions in downtown Toronto. Nice walking distance to Rogers stadium. Nice room with comfortable bed.
I liked that the street was not busy, the hotel was clean, the staff was polite and professional, there is a sundry store and on-site dining. It is walking distance to Eaton Centre. They provided extra pillows and towels in our room prior to check-in. Housekeeping failed to replace each towel they removed and left us with only one roll of toilet tissue. We were on an Hilton HHonors floor but no one explained to us what made our floor different from non-HHonors floors. We are Gold status and were not offered an upgrade despite being offered one online for extra payment.
The swimming pool is big for a downtown hotel and the breakfast buffet is worth the pricetag. The location is very central and Double Tree has made great efforts to save this older building. The elevators are slow and unreliable and don't have a way to see what floor they are on while you wait. The breakfast buffet is good but repetitive. It would be nice to see a greater food variety over the days and they need Maple syrup and sugar-free syrup options.
Location and staff EXpensive for what I received. Very few TV channels, poor wireless service, no free coffee in am, no free blast Too expensive for price
Quiet. Friendly staff. Overpriced food and beverage. Bar closes early.
This was an awful experience. The staff were rude and unwilling to change the reservation. They refused to help and did not offer adequate explanations. The rooms are tiny and cramped and I left with a bunch of bed big bites.Horrible stay.
I would recommend anyone to stay at the doubletree by hilton JUST so you can taste the cookie you get when you arrive and check in, they are warm and amazingggggg. Other than that, my stay was great and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Although the breakfast buffet was overpriced but it was very tasty. Overall, it was a great stay and I would look to stay there again next time I visit Toronto.
Greeted warmly when we arrived, shown personally to our suite. All staff whether at the front desk, valets or cleaning staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
service was great, the view was beautiful, the room was excellent. It seemed like the stars aligned for us, but that just may be the great service of the hotel. The weight room was great. The concierge made a reservation for us at this great restaurant downtown. I can't really say there was anything I didn't like about the hotel. I did a lot of research on hotels in toronto, and this was the highest rated and for good reason. If you're on the fence, go with Shangri-La
It doesn't worth money. I give it 3 star place with 5 star price. See previous
As soon as I arrived , I was greeted with a warm welcome where I felt like I was home away from home. I told the concierge that it was my first time in Toronto and he upgraded our room to the lake side view. When I got to the room, I saw why he had upgraded to the Lake view was even more incredible than I had imagine
Room layout, lighting, bathroom & view HVAC - too warm without windows that open
The hotel property was immaculate and was in walking distance to many places of interest such as Eaton Centre, St. Lawrence Market, Distillery area, St. Michael"s Cathedral, SONY Performing Atrs Center and many fabulous restaurants and bars. The employees of the hotel were motivated in making our experience a great one. The concierge staff were most helpful with their suggestions and directions.
Our room was spacious and comfortable. I did not realize that guests would have dogs in the hotel. I prefer a pet free location.
We were very impressed with The Omni King Edward from the moment we arrived. The service is impeccable. The lobby, rooms, elevators - everything, really - is first-rate. Our only regret was that we could only stay one night, since it was a quick weekend getaway. This was our first time in Toronto, and we will be back - at the King Edward. Valet parking, at CAD$40-45 per day, is a bit excessive. Since we were there on a weekend, it was easy enough to find on-street parking.
Great hotel in an excellent location. The "hop on hop off" bus tour has a stop within 1 block of the hotel. Several good restaurants within walking distance.
Convenience, and super friendly helpful staff. Location was very good. if you want to use subway to get around it is perfect. Would have like to have known remodeling was in process.
The room was great - nice, clean and large. Plenty of stuff within walking distance. Do the hop on hop off bus if you are visiting. needed a new mattress
The room size, decor, free internet access, and friendly helpful staff Nothing
could have used a cash machine somewhere in the building.
The hotel is beautiful. Really did a wonderful job remodeling. Rooms are quite large with generous seating areas and extra large bathrooms. Location is great.
The rooms were big and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable; so comfortable that I bought one of their pillows. Only a shower, albeit a large one, but no tub. Room could have used more light.
Great location and very nice and helpful staff. Rooms were great. The AC worked well and bed was comfortable.
Great location, our room was clean and nice with a beautiful view of the harbor, and staff were very friendly. The pool was nice. I would stay here again. Parking was expensive ($40.00/day for self-parking, $50.00/day for valet), extra fees to use wifi in rooms, but free in lobby. Concierge was knowledgeable about tourist attractions, but didn't know anything about the public transportation when we asked questions about it.
I contacted the hotel to confirm our reservation as we had booked it online a month ago and was forwarded to reservations and the lady was not helpful at all and told me the booking was for two double beds even though my statement from Kayak said 1 King bed. She was rude and didn't want to assist and instead told me she can put in a written request with the front desk for a King room but we will only get it if there is one available. She said someone would get back to me to confirm and no one did so I called the hotel again and again they put me through to reservations and I spoke to someone else who was not helpful either. The third time, I called the hotel and asked to speak to the front desk and spoke with Leonard and explained the situation and the confusion on why we were being told we could not have a king room when this is what we booked. He went above and beyond and not only did he make sure we had a king bed, it was on the 35th floor and lakefront room. It was beautiful and we had a wonderful anniversary. Thank you Leonard. The hotel staff were amazing and polite but the people working the phones for bookings, were not helpful. After dealing with the reservation staff, it put me off and made me want to cancel my reservation as I was unsure if this was a reflection of what the service would be at the hotel. I did not appreciate that the woman I spoke with to confirm my reservation told me to call Kayak to fix the problem of why it said 2 double beds in the hotel system and not King. I told her I had a confirmation email from Kayak and could forward it but she did not want to help me.
Location location location and very comfortable beds More food options would have been great
Hotel was spotlessly clean. Room size was above average. The bed was comfy, with crisp linens. In room coffee and bottled water included. All staff encountered were friendly. New Balance gym gear rental $5/d is a great idea (I didn't use it). Parking is horrendous! The hotel entrance is undergoing renos - there is NO curbside signage to direct you to parking facilities. $50 valet and $40 off-site (over a block away), both with in/out privileges. The price came as a surprise to me as I had read $35 valet online when booking. Water pressure is lacking in bathroom sink but shower pressure was ok. Restaurant is overpriced. There was no hotel directoy or signage to indicate pool location, nor was it mentioned at check in.
Customer Service Location First impression- No soap - though housekeeping resolved issue quickly Constant noises Rm 2616. Difficult to have a restful night. Though I would give the place another chance. I believe my issues were just bad luck.
The hotel is modern and it has a great location. Surrounded by amazing restaurants and places of interest. The views are phenomenal and super friendly stuff.
Room service was fast and friendly Valet parking people are too bossy
Great service with clean room Wifi didn't seem to work very well.
Love this hotel. Perfect location. Comfortable beds. Staff are always friendly and super helpful.
Great location right on the waterfront. Easily within walking distance to most everything. Great views from the restaurant in the south tower. Room was somewhat dated. It was still very acceptable, but due for an update sometime in the near future.
I booked and got charged thru Kayak, com; then I found out got charged second time by the Westin. I contacted their billing dept. and was told I will be issued the refund for the second charged. I have not received the refund for almost a week. I will contact them again if no refund or the refund is not correct. Parking fee is $50 which is expensive. .........
Close to everything downtown, one block from subway, clean, modern, friendly helpful staff. A little expensive but that may just be the prices in Toronto.
Great stay, nice pool, jacuzzi and sauna. rooms were big and comfortable.
Beds were very comfortable. Carpets were a little dirty
Unfortunately due to a late flight, I got in at almost 3:00 AM. They put me on the 26th floor. They didn't tell me there would construction starting on the 26th floor at 8:00 AM. It was terrible. The hotel was not sold out either... It was loud and very difficult to try and get that extra 30 minutes of sleep I needed...
Location to my business The room facilities were below average. No Fridge. Not able to open window for fresh air.
Nothing, I didnt stay there. They gave my room to someone else. Hilton booked me in an oversold hotel. After traveling 11 hours I showed up and they said i had no room! I paid for 2 nights in advance and it was PAID for. How could Hilton do this? I am a HiltonHonors member, being a member doesn't mean much to them, where is the loyalty? They gave my paid for room to someone else and told me to go find another hotel. UNBELIEVABLE!!
very clear, affordable, and walking distance from downtown Why would Hilton not offer free WiFi these days for international travelers?
Facilities were excellent and the staff helpful
I enjoyed the friendly and professional staff. If you drive into town with a larger vehicle, you will not be able to park onsite. Parking in other locations becomes costly.
staff quality of the rooms, old bathrooms, no minibar
Great location Easy check in Dated rooms Not sound proof - could hear everything in hallways and on road (I.e. Sirens) No fridge in room Bathroom was very old - needs to be updated badly
- Yorkville location is decent - Restaurant is good, and bar is solid - Big bathrooms and spacious rooms are pleasant - Area under construction, lots of noise, poor views, and inaccessibility to hotel via car/Uber. - Really crappy facilities. Half gym, tiny pool. - Under staffed, so it takes 30 minutes to check in - AWFUL value for money. It honestly feels like a holiday inn with ikea furniture, and some fancy tiling. There is nothing unique or special here. Very bland in taste and design. - This should be the lead link on overpriced dot com.
I liked everything in the room. Was very comfortable and relaxing. The bar was just great.
Location, good service at the reception, proximity to convention centre and train station. Great view in room 2500. Nothing
Location Rooms could have been cleaner
The quality of the hotel for bthe price. The inclusion of breakfast was a great plus.
Rooms were clean and nice. Staff was professional and courteous. Nothing
I enjoyed the quality of the room, th ebed was especially comfortable. the spa closed early and the prices of in room dining was out of proportion of Canadian hotel prices.
their rooms are very clean. their lobby's workers are very kindly. their restrant's workers have a poke face.
The service and styling is spot-on, generous room size and appointments that made the price good value
best value, great location, upscale, would stay nowhere else in downtown Toronto price of two drinks in the bar, asked for a glass of wine and a scotch and got a bill for $38
Friendly staff, value for money and very clean Nothing not to like
Comfortable room, with amenities. Staff friendly. Convenient to convention center. Faucet may have been a bit leaky. Didn't love the bedding, but got used to it.
Ease and comfort checking in and out. Facilities are fantastic!
Friendliness of staff, good breakfast, excellent room.
People very friendly...Jon twigg very kind to get door leading into our room fixed. Door didn't work..had to wait to get fixed. Room not ready when we arrived at 330pm, had to wait 20 minutes in lobby. Bed not turned down second night we were there. Hairs found in our bathtub..
We inadvertently left somethings in the car that was valet parked. Our bellhop brought our bags up and immediately helped us with our situation. In a few minutes our other items were up in our room. It was so effortless. I also loved how well staffed if was and how ready they were to help us with anything.
The location is great. Short walk to everywhere and multiple places to eat nearby. Be aware that you HAVE to valet park, which costs $50 per night per car. They do not give you the option to park yourself.
Great location, very nice rooms None
In the theatre district walking distance to Princess of Wales. Lots of restaurants in the area. Friendly staff even offering a bottle of water to take away on check out. Easy access by subway and street car from Unuon Station. Nothing negative to report based on our 1 night stay.
i had a great time, the hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful.
nothing Poor internet connection. Poor security. Location near night club, not safe at night time. Dirty bedsheet.
Parking, staff and the badroom piep in lift
Staff gracious and kind. Television didn't work all the time. Volume was issue
Friendly staff, clean and quiet room with free wi-fi, bottled water, tea and coffee, great location walking distance to many restaurants, bars, coffee shops and tourist attractions Pricey bar and restaurant
Nice, comfortable bed. Very spacious room. Lobby is spacious and uncrowdwe. Ambulance siren at nite a recurrent annoyance.
The staff was friendly and vary nice. The location was good. And the bathroom was beautiful. I don't understand why they charge $1.00 for every local call. And the price was not worth the room.
Quick service. When my granddaughter and I arrived, there was water on the bathroom floor, from a leaky toilet. The problem was resolved immediately. Professional and friendly staff. Glass walls on the bathroom...greatly reduced privacy. Would prefer bathroom door with a handle.
Couldn't believe how close to everything this hotel was.. amazing! Outdoor pool on the 17th floor was amazing! Urban sanctuary type deal as sunny with a view of downtown and cn tower No issues found during my stay
Location is fantastic... I walked right out the door into a great restaurant
Great location between Ontario lake and the CN tower!
Settled into the hotel restaurant for dinner--seemed nice at first glance--only to discover that the only way for guests to use the pool facility is to enter and exit, you guessed it, right through the restaurant. Read: noisy kids, waterlogged floors, noisy commotion, did I mention noise? Yeah. Noise, lots of noise. What an incredible fail for Radisson.
We were in town for a concert and a Jay's game, the location was perfect. We love to be near the waterfront when in Toronto and this was our favorite location so far. The hotel is smaller in size which is nice, not too busy, it's clean and the staff was great. The pool area on the 5th floor is a great location to sit at night and enjoy a cocktail while people watching. We have no complaints about this hotel. A little pricey but I guess you pay for location.
Room was nicely appointed, clean. Location is great although construction is going on in street for awhile
The location was phenomenal, within walking distance of so much -- only a 10-15 walk from Air Canada Centre, a couple minutes from the Rogers Centre/aquarium/CN Tower, and just a short subway ride from the ROM and Casa Loma, etc. The restaurant behind the hotel (Amsterdam Brewhouse) was absolutely fantastic as well. The rooms were so clean and big and comfortable. It was perfect for a weekend getaway. On top of it, the staff was so friendly and helpful, making for an even better stay. The only thing I really didn't like was the fact that parking wasn't free for hotel guests (it was $21/day), but I know that it's a hotel in the downtown area of a large city, so they can't really control that/you should expect to pay for parking.
Loved the full wall of windows with shutters on them in the bedroom and windows/skylights in the bathroom. Made the room so wonderfully bright in the mornings. Modern updates gave the room a high-end look and feel. Very beautiful. Very comfortable. We experienced four minor annoyances. Firstly, the fireplace (which came with a remote - pretty cool) made squeaking noises when it was on. Secondly, the mattress was overdue for a change - my side had a significant body indentation in it. Thirdly, the lower spigot in the shower was not attached to the wall - it stuck out about a foot or so into the shower. Lastly, the old tub is still in the bathroom but really just takes up space (it's a short tub, so no spa-like soaking). None were huge issues, just minor details that should be addressed.
Everything was great and staff was amazing. Very clean. Great location a couple blocks from everything. Parking was a mess was told $21 dollars but credit card was charged $35
Room was clean bright and comfortable, staff was professional courteous and quick. Parking was an issue, went to a ballgame and left after the game. Vehicle was left in parking lot at hotel took me over 35 minutes to exit lot. Restaurant at hotel is beautiful but not family orientated.
The breakfast french toast was delicious. Good downtown location. Room didn't have blackout curtains, but it did have Eastern exposure (i.e. the early sun). I think the more expensive rooms had blackout curtains, but that should be a standard feature, not one you pay more for! Bathroom didn't have a toilet-paper dispenser. Had to unroll it on my own. Nor did the shower have a full closing door- only half the shower was covered.
Location and the updated modern rooms were very clean!
very nice updated hotel close to many attractions and public transportation. staff could have been more knowledgeable about locations and attractractions
The location was pretty good with pretty quick access via street car to the main subway terminal. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. This is definitely not a luxury hotel. Things look nice but the hotel is old with a new coat of paint. You can tell where the renovations were done on a budget so things looked nice, but were not actually done well. In addition, the walls were paper thin. We could hear the people in the next room having a conversation. We did get the hotel for a very good rate, but there is absolutely no way the rooms are worth normal price. The hotel itself is not bad, but it is by no means 'luxury.'
Everything is very close by, Excellent living rooms in each room, not just a typical bed and a desk, and the TV check out was very convenient. they up graded us to a stadium view, that was good but they left the flood lights on all night. Seemed like a waste, but I guess that really has nothing to do with the hotel. Also we got unlucky and the kitchen was closed due to a break down, but I have eaten there before and it is very good
It's right next to the ballpark. You can eat lunch and watch the game from the hotel restaurant. Centrally located. It's super convenient. I hated the fact that they charge to use wifi or the internet in the business center.
City view room wasn't available when we arrived (which we were supposed to get) so they gave us a room with a view of the centre feild of the Rogers Centre so we watched the Blue Jays baseball game from our room. Loved it!
Fast check in, complimentary breakfast above the norm, close to transport and entertainment Expensive parking. Wifi should be free.
The hotel was very convenient and central to many of the Toronto tourist attractions, and the novelty of watching the baseball game from the restaurant was great.
Large modern room. Due to Blue Jays game they had no parking available when we arrived. I had to find off site parking which cost $40 then move my vehicle to the hotel after the game and pay hotel $35. So $75 to park, was NOT happy with that. No free wi-fi. Charge was $12.95. The room was not cheap, do they really need more of my money for wi-fi? I travel often and I cannot remember the last time wi-fi was not included for free. No in room safe.
Large rooms and beautiful large bathroom. Staff friendly and happy to help
it was a nice view and the water front wasn't to far from the amphitheater were i was going it was over priced for a small hotel like that
We loved the location as it was a perfect home base for us to explore downtown Toronto on foot, via the Subway, streetcar and taxi cab. We initially chose the hotel for its close proximity to the cne and the cn Tower but were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to access many tourist attractions in the area. The hotel itself was clean, the pool was lovely and the staff were exceptionally pleasant. We'll be back! The exterior grounds were not up to the standard one would expect for an International hotel, (weeds, faded paint on signs, etc.)
My room was large, beautiful, and clean. The hallways were a bit difficult to navigate and I got lost a couple of times until I got a acclimated to it. I went around in circles before I could find the elevator! The hotel is very special because it sits directly next to Rogers stadium, which is the home of the Toronto Blue Jays, & I understand that there is soccer there too. If you sit in the hotel's restaurant, you can look directly into the stadium, and it's a great deal of fun. However, I understand that there are some rooms that also look directly into the stadium but which do not have windows to the outside, so these rooms would make a sports fan very happy but perhaps others might be disappointed. Be sure to ask for a room that has a window to the outside if you don't want to face the stadium. The concierge was very nice, and attempted to be very helpful. However, she did not give clear enough instructions on how to get around the city. Taking a cab was a big suggestion of hers, & I really wanted to learn how to use public transit. Perhaps part of the problem, however, is that Toronto's subway system has not grown as the city has grown. It is not that widespread or complex, and in order to reach many places, there's a great deal of transferring necessary between train and street car. So this is difficult for a tourist to learn quickly.
