At first glance, this seems like quite a charming hotel. The room and public places are nicely decorated and for the most part exceeds what I would expect given the cost and star ratings.
- The A/C didn't work correctly. Room was 16 degrees Celsius despite the thermostat settings. I finally turned it off. - Room was very loud from some outside machinery (sounded like A/C).This hotel had a lot of good potential and I can see how under a different set of circumstances and a different room one could enjoy it much more. However I must rate it based on my experience. First, when I got there I was told the double room I reserved wasn't available because the reservation came in too late. While I understand this could've been a logistics issue between Priceline and the hotel, a call would have been nice before we got there (I reserved in the morning and checked in late evening). We were way too tired to go find a different hotel at this point so...
The room was spacious and the furnishings were nicely done. Everything was really, really clean.
The person checking us in was not overly friendly, and he never mentioned anything about the included breakfast or the free Wi-Fi, nor did he give us the code. This was a very regal looking hotel, furnished like a medieval castle. We really enjoyed our stay; the cleanliness was outstanding which seems to be a basic feature most hotels cannot entirely pull off these days. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and family. It is close to downtown, just over the Pont Champlain bridge. Thanks Hotel Brossard!
