The extra bar/seating area.
Our room was facing the highway and windows were not high standard to keep noise level to a minimum.
Room was horrible. The bed was like sleeping on cement, hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. The living furniture/dining was ugly.
The person that checked us in was awesome .we arrived late around midnight and we had not eaten, and was too late to eat a full meal he provided what he had in hand . Awesome.
staff was very friendly and made my stay very comfortable.
nothing at all.
highway noise at night
This was a great hotel the staff was outstanding
- Great location but far away from South Padre Island (40 mins drive with moderate traffic) - Cheaper option to stay in Brownsville than in South Padre Island (---+ per night)
Location had everything i need
I loved the big open space and almost 'home like' experience in room size. Had fridge, stove, and futon.
The carpet and furnishings are old and from the 80's, but nothing to complain about especially for the value.
Great hotel! Loved it! great for family with two kids
Location was great, only 20-25 minute drive to beach and close to stores and restaurants, room was very comfortable just like being in a small apartment rather than just a hotel, with all the appliances needed to cook a meal, great!
Loved everything !
The place was very nice, staff was also helpful.
There really wasn't anything negative I could say.
The rooms were great. Made me feel like I was at home.
No not really maybe a washing room on the 3rd floor.
The staff. They were really friendly and willing to serve.
Rooms were spacy and pool was nice and clean.
The hotel staff would not put me in one of their 2 room suites although hotel was practically empty! They refused to upgrade since they do not have any double bed rooms. Priceline tried talking to them and even then they would not budge.
Not a thing.
Housekeeping skipped my room. Returned at 5pm and the only option made available was to pack up and move to another room. Original room (121) had mold on the bathroom wall above the door. I can't believe Marriott puts their name on this place.
Our car got vandalism, with a result of a broken window. In total were 8 cars. This happened on the weekend of March 31st,2013
We stayed just one night, but the staff made us feel welcome. They even arranged an airport shuttle at 4:20 in the morning for our family and were ready and waiting to make sure we made our flight.
For the past 6 or 7 years, we have used a Residence Inn in Dallas as a tailgating headquarters. They have a full kitchen , usually with a dishwasher and are secure and comfortable. When needing a hotel in Brownsville for a business trip and I saw that there was a convenient Residence Inn, i booked it. When we arrived the 1bedroom suite wasn't available so we got a 2 bedroom suite for the same price. Again the location was good, the buildings were clean and secure and the rooms comfortable. AC needed adjusting and they took care of that. I believe Residence Inns are a good value and use them whenever I can.
