Pros:Car was relatively new and ride well
Cons:Difficult in communicating insurance options and variation in pricing between two identical reservation. Reservation wuited in USD but was charged in Euro at exactly same price.

Pros:The car was very clean and the drop off was easy.
Cons:The price we booked for and obtained confirmation on was not the final price because when we picked up the car we were told it did not include even basic obligatory insurance. This nearly double the price in the end!!! I have not witnessed that with any other car hire in Paris so far. Also, when we had an issue o the road, we spent 110 minutes, split across three calls, trying to reach the assistance service. Apart from the rudeness of certain interlocutors, when we finally got through to someone at the right desk, we were told the local service would call us back a few minutes later. We got a call 3 hours later!! Luckily, some kind people on the street helped us sort the problem, else we would have been sitting on the street for that amount of time. This is completely unacceptable....

Pros:The car was perfectly clean and was in excellent conditions. The only thing was that a sign that the car needed an oil change popped up every minute. Handed on time, returned on time, great staff service. I would rent here again.

Pros:Very good selection of cars. Well priced, perfect location if arriving on the Eurostar or in northern Paris
Cons:Very confusing on how to get to the desk - signs on elevator posted for floors -6 and -7 for Avis/Budget, but desk is on -1 (which is not very well marked on ground level). Limited instructions on returning the car too as no attendant on site for returning. But overall good value

Cons:the car was noisy and not fuel efficient. The staff was unwelcoming starting from the moment they realized I had booked from a broker in the US and was paying less than then French rentals. They took revenge by upselling me some insurance. I was not against it, but numbers really did not add up. It was not only more expensive, but also the EUR - USD fx rate did not make sense. I ended up paying double the amount I had initially booked. Also, there was a railway station tax which I also found out about, and when I challenged them again on this, they had no response other than a threat: "you know, we should cancel your booking because you are not a US resident but you booked through a US site". very nice...last but not least, I had to beg them to show me the car and bring me to it for a review. Initially, they did not want to come out of their cosy office. none in the office was very interested or concerned about me, and I was the only client...
