Convenient location, clean rooms and friendly staff. Great restaurant.
The location was in walking distance to shops, bars, and restaurants.
had to pay for parking
We loved the location. It was just blocks from where our daughter lives. You can walk to many things.
Very clean spacious rooms
The location downtown is great, far better than the places out on the highways. Check in was quick, the room was fine, the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast next morning was certainly acceptable. This is definitely my preferred hotel in Carlisle.
The restaurant/bar was not open on Sunday. A minor annoyance considering everything else I really like about this property.
Charged for parking and very bad location for parking. Unloading and loading was nightmare
Good location Clean room. Friendly staff
A/C didn't cool the room and the humidity remained very high in the room the whole time. Bed was uncomfortableNo easy entry from parking garage...up the steps through the back door (if you have a key) or walk around to the lobby.
Friendly, helpful staff!
Bathrooms in room could use a bit of an update.
The staff was welcoming and helpful.
The hotel is under renovation and is less than inviting. I felt like the guests next door were in the same room with me. Walls were thin.
Great value for the price.
Mattress could be upgraded.
The fact we did not know they were renovating & the kitchen was closed..
The front desk was lovely
the breakfast started to be cleared 10 minutes before 10 a,m. and was completly cleared and cleaned by 10 a.m. I was told that the breakfast was served until 10 a,m. on Christmas day and When I arrived at 9.30 everything was packed and cleared.
The room size
Whilst it was thanksgiving, I was very surprised that there was no service to the bedrooms or there was any evening meal as this was the main reason that we wished to stay at the hotel. The bill was made out to a different address and wrong credit card.
Décor a little dated
It's location in downtown Carlisle was appealing.
The room did not seem clean and had an unpleasant odor. The air conditioning did not work properly. The staff instructed us to put the thermostat at 60 degrees but it never quite cooled the room. The day and evening were not exceptionally hot.
Great value. Downtown location with patio.
Not as bright and shiny as other Comfort Suites because this one is older.
Great breakfast and great location.
I got a room on the ground floor with too much activities.
I found the staff extremely helpful about the surrounding area and restaurants. The complimentary breakfast each morning was definitely worth going to, they had a great variety and good quality.
I did not like the cleanliness of my room at all! I found hair in the bed and on the pillows. The sheets were disgusting with stains and dust. I also found hair in the towels laying on the towel bar in the bathroom.
Bed were comfortable and clean. Nice sheets, towels and pillows.
Didn't know it was in the middle of a town.It was late at night, there was a big bus parked in front of the hotel, and no place to pull up my car and unload, drove around block several times to before figured out the front entrance was in the alley way.
It was a quick decision to travel to carlisle with no regrets. If location is everything this was absolutely perfect. Staff members were great very helpful in every department, and especially Gina who worked the evening shift, she was very polite and my wife and I were really appreciative of her knowledge of the local area. The hotel was clean inside and out, and with a couple of small issues was a great place to stay. Continental breakfast was good for a free meal, but overall can't wait for a return trip
We are an Army family who moved away from Carlisle. This hotel in downtown Carlisle has agreat location off the square, near fantastic restaurants such as the Carlisle Bakery, Gingerbread Man, Cafe Brugges, Alibis... I could go on! Wonderful breakfast, and lots of space in the room, pet friendly, and welcoming. My only concern was that the carpet could have used steam-clean--we wore socks in the room all the time since they got so dirty. An easy fix for us.
This is a nice hotel well located in carlisle. The entrance is on the side, down a rather narrow alley and the parking is in the garage behind but not attached to the hotel. once you get past those little things the inside is quite nice. Obviously a grand old hotel renovated but everyone was helpful. i will stay again.
This hotel was perfect for my business travel needs, with internet access, and a comfortable setting.
This hotel was a breath of fresh air after our last hotel stay off the expressway the night before. The Comfort Suites had freshly laid carpet and the room was clean! The beds were very comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a pull out sleeper sofa for my daughter to have her own bed. Having the couch and coffee table makes a big difference in a hotel room. Really strong water pressure in the shower, if you like that. The breakfast was great -- eggs, bacon, make your own waffles w/ a choice of sugar-free syrup, cereals, oatmeal, muffins, yogurt, fruit, english muffins, toast, juices, all types of milks -- WOW! You'll need to pay extra $3 per day for a parking pass except on Sundays. Right in the middle of the historic district with quaint shops and restaurants. Sounds do carry from room to room, so if you get a bunch of loud people in the hall you will hear it. I suggest bringing ear plugs to ANY hotel. This was a superb choice for us. LOVED IT.
Being located directly on the main street in Carlisle offers guests the best of 2 worlds. The surrounding areas with real farmers markets and shope plus the stores, restaurants, and shops right in the downtown area. The food in the hotel restaurant is very good and reasonable. You have the front row seating for all the goings on right there on the main street.
Hotel is very clean and the staff friendly and knowledgeable of the area. What a neat place to stay!
