Located in heart of the antique district and within walking distance of many restaurants. Hotel offers free wireless high-speed Internet access and free continental breakfast. Just a 10-minute drive from Mammoth Cave.
Good price and location.
Facility needs renovation.
Not close to the mark that justifies the price
it was nice
kids next room over
This hotel met the star rating. It was a decent value for somome who is on a budget.
The room was OK, but the bathroom ceiling was in need of repainting. Paint was peeling off.
Location and the pool were good.
The room had too many kinds of bugs, which bothered our sleep.
The bathroom was very delapidated.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating and location was ideal for a variety of local activities
Beds were a bit on the firm side and rooms could use some maintenance but definitely not a deal breaker
The hotel was pretty much in the middle of everything. I liked that we didn't have to drive very long to get to any of the attractions. I also liked that after a long day in the heat having fun we could return to the hotel and relax in a cool pool.
The hotel room was not what I had expected. There were cob webs everywhere the mattress was stiff as a board and I didn't like the fact that the blankets were all stained up! Blood all over them! Cleanliness is not their strong suit!!!!!!!
The hotel served the purpose. A clean, reasonably priced, well-located place to lay my head. The pillows were better than a lot of 3-4 hotels I have stayed at so that was a nice surprise.
One of the bulbs was out on one of the bedside lamps and the clock was not set (it was just flashing when I got in) so while the room was clean, the attention to detail was not so impressive.
Manager was unprofessional. Too busy watching movies in the front lobby than caring about customers that came in. The hotel has been poorly managed and let go. Visited the caves next day which seemed like a better night stay.
the pool looked clean and well kept
The room clearly needed updating. All of the wall paper in the room was pealing off. I had to duck under a large piece hanging over the bathroom door to get in it. The breakfast was disappointing also but I didn't expect much after seeing my room.
Great location to 65 and the attractions and restaurants. The pool was nice and the room had a small refrigerator and microwave which we liked. It also allowed pets which worked well for us.
The ceiling in the bathroom leaked. Called front desk and they said that they would send someone to look at it, but no one ever came. I would suspect that they already knew about it and didn't really care.
Very nice person at the desk. Associate very helpful. Coming back through on Thursday .
We liked that it was close to Mammoth caves and the price we paid for it!
The non-smoking rooms were intermixed with the smoking rooms. We surrounded by smoking rooms--there wasn't a side set apart or things like that. We laughed at the thumb tacks holding up the wall paper.
very convenient to area attractions
pillows were bad
Lots of parking was able to park right in front of my room.
Bathrooms show the building ages but I would not expect any more for the price... You get what you pay for... I was very happy!
I booked a room with a 'king bed' and when I arrived it was actually just a queen size bed.
It was a short stop so it met our needs. Would stop there again
The location was about the only thing positive about this hotel.
This facility was very dated, but more importantly dirty. The bathroom was not properly cleaned. The shower and the toilet had stains due to inadequate cleaning. A little bleach and effort could solve these problems.
Close to Mammoth Caves, clean big pool, free simple breakfast.
Staff were a bit rude.
Very, very rude front desk help. Dirty room. Overall yuck! Never, never again.
It was close to where I wanted to be and the price was great!
Could not access the wifi
Location was good, near Mammoth Caves, rooms were adequate and decent for one-star.
Bed was VERY uncomfortable. Mattress was hard as a rock and thin. My back hurt for the entire day after.
This hotel is very convenient to the restaurants and only minutes away from Mammoth caves, and many other attractions. The room was clean and comfortable.
The water in the shower could have been hotter.
The breakfast was decent for the price of the room. The room was nice as well. The people whom I talked to were accomodating since we were coming from 12 hours away.
Just don't look up. There were alot of water holes in the ceiling. The sitting space was limited for the breakfast, but they did make accomodations for my family.
Our first room smelled really bad. The toilet was leaking out the side when flushed. I called the desk, they asked, 'is that a problem?' Yeah, leaking sewage is a problem. The second room smelled normal, but the toilet didn't flush. The guy who looked at it said it had a broken piece inside. If we wanted to flush it we had to use the ice bucket to fill the tank. Even then, it was only a half flush. I asked for another room and the guy at the desk said that he would have to check and to ask him about it again in half an hour. Because we had a tour at the cave, I couldn't get back to him. This hotel is a hole. Worst coffee ever. One of the beds had a weird stain. We were not expecting much, as this a one star hotel, but I certainly expect working indoor plumbing.
The location was close to where I was going
The rooms were in need of a remodel bad
Location. It had a pool.
Ice machine did not work. Cont. breakfast was poor. Outside appearance was run down. Furniture at the pool poor. Pool not in good repair.
Bathroom really dirty. Toliet leaking on tile floor. Mold, mildew on tub/shower tile. Bath really bad.
Breakfast area was cramped
For the price, the room was was clean and orderly.
Found it very difficult to get a towel from front desk; checked back twice in the evening and was unable to get a fourth towel for the room from front desk clerk. Television was very outdated (No HD)
wallpaper peeling off the walls, dirty carpet, unfriendly staff.
This hotel is awful!! The rooms are old and need updated badly. The wallpaper is peeling, the shower heads are too low for anyone over 5'5', the TV's are old, the beds are really hard and the blankets are scratchy. The manager is awful! The guests 2 doors down from us were having a drunken cook out in the parking lot in the middle of the night! The police were called 3 times and our young kids were up crying and scared all night. It was like being on a episode of COPS. When we complained to the manager he said it wasn't his problem. The pool is adequate but most of the chairs are broken. The breakfast is awful! Frozen mini sausage sandwiches, frozen waffles, no hot food, 2 kinds of cereal, plain bagels, instant oatmeal and plain doughnuts. The breakfast area had only 4 small tables stuffed into an area only really ment for two tables, we had to stand while eating. We will never stay at this hotel or with this chain again. We ended our trip a day early because it was so bad, we had to fight just to get our money back for the day we didn't stay. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!
I would not stay at this hotel ever again - even if my life depended on it! The management was rude, the room was dirty, the faucet leaked, the shower was dirty and very low pressure (and forget using any hot water). Oh, and the 'continental breakfast'...was a stale bread and frozen 2inch pancakes - that's it!
I planned a weekend trip for my son and husband for Fathers Day. The staff was really rude. The room next to us had a short in it and they filled the room three times the first night we were there. People continued to get shocked. The breakfast was not much of a variety. Unless you are a cereal lover you better go out to breakfast. The hot water in our tub wouldn't shut off. I had to get dress and run to the neighbor for help. We were suppose to stay till Monday, but enough was enough. The people visiting were the greatest part.
Was near all the attractions for that area. About 15 minutes from Mammoth cave. Quick check in and out, and staff was very friendly. Pool was in excellent shape. Was not crowded at all. Bed was pretty comfortable. But if you like pillows, bring your own, there's are very flat. We would stay there again. Great value!
