Criown Sam Marcos is beautiful and well kept. The front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Beds were a little hard. In the restaurant AJs, the food was ok but the wait staff was terrible.
We stayed for our 10th anniversary. The architecture was super cool. We loved the building. We love the history and all of the historical pictures inside the lobby. Breakfast outside was delicious. They are in a perfect location to walk to almost anything you need.
The pool area could use a facelift, but I'm not sure how they would fit that in with the historic nature of the whole property. It was still nice enough for swimming.
The beds and pillows were horrible. I got charged for room service on my bill and im having a hard time of getting a hold of accounting to resolve it.
Our server at the pool, Shannon, was the only thing we liked.
People at pool allowed to bring their own coolers full of beer to the pool. Caused it to have a very trashy feel!
Room was nice and clean!
Only one vending machine on bottom floor that didn't work half the time, wish roomservice was open later!
In addition to the usual taxes, we were charged a hotel 'resort' fee that was explained as for water and 'free parking'-when there is a charge for parking, it is no longer 'free'.
