Couldn't pay with my debit card at hertz. Kayak and priceline' all others do not have the disclaimer of hertz not being able to use the same debit card in the same day as you rent the car. I do not carry another credit card. I was not able to rent the car.

It was supposed to be rental for $110 and we got there and it shot up to just under $1000 with hidden fees and taxes so we cancelled the booking. Plus no one was organized so it took 30 minutes of waiting to even start the process just find out the hidden fees and have to cancel. Oh and there were only two other customers ahead of us who were just waiting for the keys by the time we showed up. One of them were still there waiting by the time we left

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I drove the car directly from the airport to the place I was staying, and when I arrived, I noticed that some bright pink liquid was leaking under the hood. I looked under the hood and saw that a tube was broken and fluid was everywhere. I immediately called Ace, where I was transferred 6 times and had to retell my story to each person (which was not too big of a deal). A woman named Katie finally got me, and immediately accused me of crashing the car and told me that it is my fault and either I needed to take it to a shop to get it fixed or I needed to pay $2k for them to come tow the car back to the rental agency. I told her that I did not crash the car, there was no other damage to the car, and the leak must have been cause before I got the car. She continued to tell me it is my fault and I must have done something to cause it. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, who ended up being even worse. She then transferred me over to John, who was even more rude. He spoke down to me the entire time we were on the phone, and continued to tell me it was my fault and that I had to fix it myself or pay to tow the car. I asked him about the bumper to bumper warranty, and he said this obviously would not be covered under warranty. He even ended up hanging up on me. I then drove the car (which was unsafe) to the nearest dealership and asked if they could fix it and explained the situation. Everyone at the dealership was disgusted and confused, and said that they've never heard of a rental company treating customers like that or making customers pay for/perform maintenance on a car. After they looked at the car, they told me it WAS covered under warranty, it was NOT safe for me to drive, and that they could not give me the car back. The serviceman also noted that there was no way the damage happened while it was in my care and was clearly not my fault. The car dealership service man called John directly and explained the situation, and only then did John agree to send me a new car at no cost to me. (Although John did call me back and tried to convince me to pay for and take a shuttle to the airport instead of getting the car.) The fact that I as the customer was immediately blamed for the damage without the company even looking at the car until a dealership serviceman backed me up is horrific. Terrible customer service. Nobody should be treated to or spoken to the way I was. I would never recommend renting with this company to anybody.

As soon as we landed, I received a text with instructions on what to do next. We jumped on the shuttle and got our car. We didn’t have any kind of what or any issues. When we returned the car, it was the same. No waiting and a quick shuttle ride back to the airport. It was 2 adults and 4 kids and 7 suitcases and 6 backpacks. We got a brand new Chrysler Pacifica van, that had 1000 miles on it. Very nice car that fit all of us and our luggage. It was great all around, renting from Ace.

I liked being able to walk to car when I landed.

The rate I was charged differed from the rate on my reservation. When I called, I was on hold for over 20 minutes then was told because it was in the first 24 hours after return they couldn’t make any credits to my account and I would have to call back. Which is just ridiculous

Cons:

Apparently MSP airport has 2 pickups for rental cars. We didn’t know this. I was told upon pickup that I was at the wrong place. They took care of me though. We dropped it off at the address listed on the agreement. It was at the other terminal. We had to hump our luggage on a train, through the other terminal and than a tram. We were in good shape and had time, so no worries. If neither of those things were true. It would’ve been tough. Better communication would help.

Cons:

It was cold in Minnesota and when I turned the heat on the windows would cloud up. I had to continuously turn on the rear and front window heaters which would then shut off the heat. But it was alright, I did not freeze but it could have been a little more comfortable. I would rent from them again.

Cons:

Our rental was supposed to be $460 for 12 days but I was charged $610. Enterprise told me they couldn’t find my booking and had to make a new one even though I had the confirmation number. When I called about the extra $150 I was transferred around and around no one was able to help. I will definitely be using a different rental company next time.

I booked a car using Kayak supposedly for MSP but when I got to the airport, I was that the car was for an off-airport location some 15 minutes away by taxi...and that I would return the car to the same location...they ended up renting me a car at 2.5x the price I reserved...never again...Kayak or Enterprise
