weight room was terrible, rusted weights.
I was visiting Chicago for a conference in Fields Museum. This location turned out to be a the best. I walked to the museum. The stay was comfortable.
Staff was wonderful. Rooms were clean and plenty of mid priced restaurants within a block or two for casual drinking and dining. Grant Park is across the street and you can walk to Lake Michigan on large marked and paved pedestrian routes that go under all the roads and over the train tracks.
Two major events in the area pushed the room price higher than normal and they are making improvements to modernize but not there yet. Hallway to our room had slight odor.
Great location. Nice helpful staff. Computers in lobby came in very handy printing out Cubs tickets. Sofa bed and two doubles was perfect for my family. Price was excellent compared to other options.
Hallways a little outdated. Really no big negatives.
We stayed for 3 nights. We had a room with view of the lake. The price was great and we had access to all of the usual attractions either by foot or by bus.
Was fine, had a great location and good staff.
The number of electrical outlets was kind of low.
Location was great and the room was clean
The room seems to be in disrepair with many minor maintenance issues needed. Missing electrical socket cover, bent towel rod and broken curtain sliders.
The staff was great and super helpful. The rooms were very clean and well stocked.
The outside of the building was run down.
Quietness of the hotel
Lack of dining options within the area after 10 pm
I liked Price
Car parking, bathroom,
The room my daughters and I stayed was fairly clean.
Well, as we were pulling up to the hotel the Police were there armed with huge guns. My youngest daughter was terrified. After we found parking we headed to the front desk to check in and just our luck the police exited off the elevator with a man under arrest and escorted him out of the building. As you can imagine it was a troubling feeling. I asked the front desk woman if we have anything to worry about? Assuming she would be apologetic . No, she said to me, "stuff happens". Thought it was unprofessional and was very disappointed. Needless to say we will not being returning again. The hallways are dingy and dark. Although the room was clean(ish) it was not a satisfying stay.
Tracy was hands down the best! We had issues with our wifi and she took charge, remedied the situation, and was 100% amazing during the entire process - which involved a change of rooms. Kudos to her!
Staff was excellent!
Corner room with big windows were probably great in the past before train and buildings cropped up around the hotel but now its a noise issue. Room heater could not keep up with frigid temperatures of the Chicago winter. Insulated drapes helped but did not cover all of window. 3 inch brown hairs in and around bed. I am bald, therefore not mine. Not knowing of the 38 dollar a day parking fee prior to arrival was annoying. Unpack yourself in loading zone then pull around to valet parking.? I parked down the street for half the cost and walked back as I only had a duffle bag.
Location and price
The night-shift staff member wasn't very friendly but was efficient.
