With an ideal central location, the DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago Magnificent MIle is located in the heart of Michigan Avenue. This hotel is just steps from all of the best shopping and dining in the area, including the sights of Navy Pier, the Water Tower, and more. Just 45 minutes from O’Hare International Airport, the DoubleTree is two blocks from the infamous Magnificent Mile and close to many businesses and corporations in the city. The McCormick Place Convention Center is close to the hotel, as is the Museum Campus, which is home to the Field Museum of Natural History, Shedd Aquarium, and the Adler Planetarium.

Room hadn’t been cleaned. Items left on floor / bed. Bathroom had wet towels on countertop. Floss picks on floor.

I arrived early, but was allowed to check my bag and use the pool while waiting. Pool was clean, but could definitely use better quality towels. Room was clean and bed/pillows were very comfortable. Check-out time was 11am, but again I was able to check my baggage and use the pool area for the remainder of the day. Sat at the bar one day and had a drink/appetizer, the bartender was extremely courteous. Starbucks in the lobby is always a bonus. Area is good and close to many attractions. I booked through an aggregate site and the price couldn't be beaten. This was my 2nd stay and I intend to make it an annual trip.

The hospitality was second to none. I would like to see hotel management control the hall noise early in the morning as in 1 to 3am there was a lot of running in the hall and playing

Pros:I loved our room. The newly renovated room was very nice and beds were so comfy. Staff was nice and greeted me with a cookie. They always helped me grab a cab. Loved staff at the pool too.
Cons:Wish I understood little better that there was basically no lobby due to renovation. I took my friends to Chicago for first time and having no lobby was a let down even though I understand next year it will look amazing. Just felt like I let my friends down with picking a hotel this nice and no beautiful lobby currently.

Cons:I booked the rooms and paid all the amount by Kayak, when I arrived to the hotel the guy who works in the reception charged me again and he told me by mistake!!! He said tomorrow by your check out your money will return to your account. I talked to a lady in the reception (next day) because I didn’t get my money back, the lady in the reception she doesn’t help me well, she talked with me kind of weird because I think my English not perfect, my old parents waited for me negotiating for more than an hour. I told her the thing that happened yesterday, she told me to get her my bank e-mail or fax to get my money back!! I didn’t get my money back yet this is the third day I’m writing this.

Pros:I enjoyed how friendly the hotel staff was the most! From the bellhops to the check in desk, everyone was so pleasant and helpful. Additionally, I got a wonderful room with a lovely view for a good value. I would love to return to the Double Tree Hotel in the future.
