Location very good and quiet. Breakfast and cleanliness excellent. Able to park overnight right outside.
No staff on duty overnight. Rooms need updating but signs that this is gradually being done. Lightbulbs missing.
This hotel has very friendly staff, is located in a quiet part of the city and still very close to the centre, and has one of the broadest choices of breakfast I have ever seen. My room was at the back of the hotel overlooking an inner court, and had a spacious, recently renovated bathroom, which was excellent. The parking was very close. It costed 15 euros a day. I stayed for three nights, and for such a duration, this hotel was OK for me.
The covers of the duvet and pillows were downright skanky: their original colour (white) had been replaced with a brown-yellowish glow, which clearly indicated a lack of washing to me. Although I'm not a cleanliness freak, I could imagine some people having problems with this. The safe in the room was way too small for my laptop, and the lock on the door was totally outdated. Luckily my neighbours were very quiet, because the walls in this hotel are not that thick. In my opinion, the price of my room was not in line with the quality, but the good breakfast made that pain lighter, and I understand from this website that all hotels in Koln are relatively expensive.
Simple, attractive hotel in a quiet and convenient location, with helpful and welcoming staff and nice public rooms.
Bedroom rather basic and tired, but everything worked and was clean. The bedroom was not as attractively decorated as the public rooms and spaces.
I liked the customer service and the breakfast
The best thing was the bed. Beautiful doonas and so cozy and warm sunshine every afternoon. Just perfect. Breakfast was superb, and request would bring an egg if you wanted. This hotel is the best, it has wonderful staff. Varten the cocktail bar manager and adviser on all parts of Cologne was a pleasure to talk with. Sacha the Manager of the hotel was obliging in many and all things. He was personable and nothing was too difficult for him. The hotel is central to good eating spots and hotels.
There was nothing we could complain about and would stay there over and over again
Close to the City. Very Friendly Staff.
Helpful staff, location close to rail station and city centre but not noisy Church bells don't start up till 7 am which is good as close to hotel
Room decor could be better
Staff very helpful.
New construction opposite the hotel and will block the great view of the Rhine river when complete.
Excellent staff, very helpful.
Location to station. Privately owned, family business
Door key cards never worked for us but always staff on hand to help. View from our room of a building site.
