The location was great!
There is a bar in the hotel and the noise woke us up around 2:30 in the morning.
My room was big and spacious my bed was very comfortable and was very clean
Location was good and convenient. Cookies they offer tater great!
Rooms were small and out of date.
There were bugs in the sink every day. And the lobby smells musty like a public swimming pool.
I ask for a One bedroom room and they give me a 2 bedroom
Cookies upon arrival
Older interior decorations/design.
top notch friendly people
Excellent Customer Service at Front Desk
The room was comfortable and clean. I room showing generally wear and tear and you could a lot of patching/repairs that had taken place over the years.
Great hotel and perfect location
Nothing . Well the free cookie but that's it
Everything . Room was hot , coldest it could get was 72 . Only got one bed , room was old and beat up .
Hotel had bed bugs. Had to check out really early due to bed bugs being in the bed.
Clean, great service, and very affordable
Amazing Lobby! And a homemade cookie at check in!!!
Everything was great...no complaints.
hotel is centrally located in North Dallas near highway which is very convenient
room was clean but very worn. The hotel overall is overdue for an update.
We were transferred to a different hotel without the client (guest) being aware of the transaction....
I have complained the service we had received to the front desk manger. Waiting for response.
Friendly staff and free parking and chocolate chip cookies.
First I expect to be greeted at the door by a Valet or Bellman. The rooms quite unremarkable and I only recommend this property it for that particular location ( Farmers Branch, Carrolton) One computer and printer in business center
the staff was nice
the hotel is outdated and not clean it had a bad smell and the drain was very slow in the shower
Convenience. Easy to get to 635.
Checking in wasn't incredibly simple. Was hassled about using a debit card over a credit card. The food was mediocre at best and extremely over priced.
It was nice
Bathrooms need to be updated
Everything from the cracked ceiling to the stained carpet throughout. From the staff to the amenities was a sloppy joke. The place smelled of mold and mildew. I will never go back this needs to be less than 1 star I am unsure how it is 3 1/2.
Our first room's AC went out. We brought a boxfan that did not help. I asked for a new room. The new room was filthy. Eyelashes left on there headboard. Hair on the toilet. Chewed raisen and sunflower seed. Toilet made overflowing noises. AC on made wall
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was conveniently near the DNT. When we asked to switch rooms due to air conditioning issues in the first room they were very nice and switched us immediately (even thought the second room still wasn't cool).
Room wasn't cool and terrible humidity. Felt sticky/gross after sitting in room for two hours trying to get it to cool. Moved rooms with little improvement. Lobby was nicely cold. Also loud pulsing from some sort of machinery below - even from 5th floor.
No room service
internet was slow and no refrigerator in the room
The hotel room was clean and the shower was good.
poor lighting and not to many area to plug in devices while traveling with kids and ipads and phones.
The cookie at check in
The clerks seem to spend a lot of time on tele. Instead of checking in guests
Only one bed available in the room. Not conducive for two adults traveling on business. We asked to switch rooms and were told we couldn't. Front desk at check-in had an attitude about it.
The bed was comfortable, the room was clean.
Needed a mini fridge, was a $10.00 charge per night, but the could not guarantee it available. Left a shirt in room called back to get it and could not get it until 'Monday morning' how can this be possible. First room provided smelled of smoke.
The staff was friendly and accommodating
We had to change rooms twice- the A/C in the first room rattled loudly and the shower curtain had an awful mildew smell. The second room had a heavy smoke smell; that room used to be a smoking room, but the smell was not removed when converted.
No A/C in the room, failure of service
The bed was comfortable.
The unit was crappy. Either you froze or you were in a steam room, and it would make weird noises. Made the staff aware of this and they never fixed it.
no complimenary breakfast
I liked the staff. Very friendly.
My room was entirely too hot and according to an employee it always is. The air conditioning never seemed to catch up. The breakfast buffet is completely over priced for the quality and selection of food offered. Rooms outdated compared to lobby.
It Was clean.
This is not the place for 35 and younger...the pool was a very bad appeal and the beds were not comfortable at all...slept a total of 6 hrs over a 3 day weekend...there isn't a free breakfast buffet either. This is more like a place for old folks.
The room interiors were very dated. The bathroom wallpaper was falling off the walls. It was really poor looking.
Location and price.
Smokers hanf around outside the front door, sleazy and nasty.Hotel vans parked in the way up front, hard to get thru.Usually fairly dirty and full of leaves around front door.
No valet No jacuzzi or indoor pool No complementary breakfast
i loved the staff! very polite
Somethings were left in the room, like a charger and also a credit card of ours was missing and they used the card at Walmart and we think whoever cleaned the room took the things, housekeeping had not called back to tell me anything
I asked for a 2 bed room hotel and got a king size bed. I asked upfront if we can get it change and the 'manager/ receptionist' gave me attitude. Not pleased.
Walls so thin you could hear next door Bathroom floors and shower grout grudgy
The commode stopped up from the rooms above us And every time someone would flush above us ours would bubble over they had no one on duty to work on it they offered another room but my son was asleep so I had to get a plunger and do it. Really SUCKED .
We are a family of 4, and they would only bring us 2 towels, had to call for the other 2 every day. Unheated, filthy, dirty, full of acorns, horrible pool. Room cleaners switched room from AC to heat, so our room was hot when we got back. TERRIBLE!!!!!
Ease of check in and out
nice rooms comfortable beds
bathtub did not drain in room and they had to know that before they put me in it
Presentation, Atmosphere, Cleanliness
Vending machines didn't accept anything other than credit/debit cards. However, I went to 2 separate floors, tried 3 different cards and none of them worked. Account balance was good. Called room service, no assistance other than to purchase room service.
The public spaces
This is a 2 star hotel not a three and a half, the bathroom is outdated. The doors to the room are cheap. We were suppose to get a room with 2 beds, they were booked that weekend and gave us a room with a king size bed. So my 70 year old dad had to sleep
It was outdated and out not the level of the rating. The shower needed attention and the room had a strong smell of smoke.
One star for a reason. Broken and antiquated appliances. Grab and go breakfast consists of a random grab bag of undesirables.
During check in it took 20 mins to get somebody to the front desk
Bed was comfortable
Stained ceiling tiles, musty smell in hallway, tacky convenience store in lobby, construction to get to the hotel was horrible, remodel of bathrooms was subpar
We recently stayed at the Doubletree Dallas Galleria. The hotel is easily accessible to shopping, dining, and freeways. The warm cookies were delicious and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Our room was very comfortable & affordable. This will definitely be a place we will stay again.
This is not a new hotel by any stretch; still it is clean and well-cared for. Room was nicely-furnished, but not what I would call elegant. All we needed was available, the bed was comfortable, and 4th floor was quiet. Every person on staff with whom we interacted, from front desk to housekeeping, was friendly and helpful without making themselves pushy. We ate only one meal at the so-called 'Chef's Table.' It was lunch, and it was very disappointing. Italian was the only salad dressing, rolls were hard, and the chicken was only average. The beef appeared to be brisket, moderately-thin slices about two inches long, covered with a bland, lumpy gravy. That might have been tolerable, except the meat was so tough one could not hope to chew it. Someone needs to teach 'Chef' how to make brisket tender and tasty, and you can't make it that way by just throwing it in a pan and covering it with gravy. At $14 bucks a plate, it had better be a lot more palatable than that. The continental breakfasts for our three-day event at the ballrooms, however, were outstanding, with fruit, yogurt, granola, pastries and bagels, breakfast burritos one day and ham/egg/cheese croissants the next. Good at feeding groups at a venue, but not individuals at the restaurant, it seems.
Motel easy to locate and welcomed by friendly staff. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. The security seemed to be around everywhere each time we came and went.
very comfortable place to stay and very convenient. very close to the galleria and to highway access. Hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. will stay there again.
