All the staff were really friendly and anxious to help, particularly the girls in the restaurant/breakfast service etc. Our apartment was perfect for us with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and was comfortable. The menu was adequate, the food was good and reasonably priced and room service was available until 11pm every night. Breakfast (which was included in the price) was good and served until 10am. The apartments are smack bang in the middle of all the super cheap shops and stalls, just off Poppies I.
There was a lot of building works going on directly in front of and behind the apartments. Their work day seems to start at 7am and not finish until 10pm, so it was very noisy and extremely dusty everywhere. There was confusion about the payment and on the final day when I checked out I had to pay an additional 1,500,000 rupiah. I'm still not sure why, but I was too ill and weak from acute gastro to argue it. I expected a full working kitchen, but in fact it was little more than a kettle and microwave and the cooking facilities didn't look safe. The bathrooms constantly pumped up foul smells from the toilet and shower plug hole which permeated into the bedrooms and living area. I didn't like the location at all, it was too busy, noisy, cheap and quite dirty, it would be most appropriate for backpackers, not two 50yr old ladies having a holiday reunion.
