Friendly helpful staff, beautiful Florentine villa as advertised, delightful environment.
A romantic place!Great view, perfect at all seasons of the year.Recommended!!!
We thought the staff were professional and friendly. Room and bathroom were large and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious. Grounds were lovely.
Thought our room could use some updating and freshening up.
it was very nice and beautiful and the reception was very helpful.the bus station number 12 and 13 are in front of the hotel door! i like it
This hotel is a late 1800's estate house in a wealthy section of Florence. We were most favorably impressed driving through the gates onto the grounds. It has such obvious old world charm from both the old house to its gardens. Old elegance is what this hotel offers and it is charmingly furnished with warmth. Expect to feel as if you are staying at someone's home. Our room had a nice sized bathroom and the room itself was very generous in size with a large wall sofa. The windows looked out onto the gardens which we really enjoyed. The breakfast was beautifully presented and very good. Our host was extremely friendly and helpful as was the staff. We would definitely stay here again.
We can not complain about this hotel. We will highly recommend to all our friends and family to consider staying there. We would point out that it is a 25 minute stroll into old city of Florence crossing the Arno at Pont Vecchio. We love walking so this was no problem for us. The alternative is taking a bus which we did not do. It is a hike coming uphill to return but the exercise does help to burn off the great food enjoyed in the old city.
We would like to point out Alessandra and her professional way of leting us feel like we are VIPs! We were hosted in many hotels, but such warm hosting you don't find everywhere.
The shower, toilets and baths are - like some have said here - needed to be washed with anti chalk cathartic.
I thought the hotel was excellent and I felt very much looked after and rested after my stay there.I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is situated in a beautiful elevated situation with an outdoor pool set in lovely gardens. It is ideal for people who want to be within short commuting distance of the city but feel that they are slightly away from the hub.I would come here again.
The only slight criticism is that it does'nt have a facility to dine at the hotel in the evening. However you can have an excellent breakfast in a lovely room with poolside terrace to eat outside if you wish and also order sandwiches, salads, wines, etc coffee, tea etc again which can be brought out to you whilst you sunbathe or again eat on the terrace .There are 2 restaurants within a few mins walk
Appauling decor-floor to ceiling patterned tiles with avocado loo suite- reckon 50 years ago it was great but its in a time warp= outdated dark rooms, no tea and coffee facilities, no modern amenities at all- we would have swapped hotels if we were staying for longer- terrible value for money too
The staff was very friendly and flexibel in fullfilling requests (like changing rooms). The location and the building are beautiful. Parking in front of the hotel is very comfortable. Again... the staff is excellent.
Our particular room was rather noisy as it was right next to the street and we had a family next door that we could hear very well as there was only a thin door seperating the rooms.
