The view - the hotel is beautifully situated.
The weather was cold and it took us time to sort out the room heating. An extra blanket was provided as soon as we mentioned it.
The family hospitality was outstanding. The food was incredibly delicious. I am recommending it to all of my friends.
freindly, helpful, good food, great views
did not have real italian coffee!!!
The quiet discreet pool area, the stunning location, the excellent and reasonably-priced home-cooked food in the restaurant, the low-key vibe (it didn't feel like I was a hotel guest but more like a guest-guest - it was very personal), the view from our terrace was spectacular but we didn't have a sea view from the room itself. There were bus services so we didn't have to have a car. The staff really let us get on with our relaxing, and didn't get in our faces. For the most part, the other guests were also really quiet and kept to themselves, which was nice. Some days, we had the whole pool area to ourselves for hours on end!
Dinner service starts at 815pm and they don't serve lunch, so you either have to go out in the daytime or get provisions in, and we didn't have a fridge so we could only get dry foods, nothing that needed refrigeration. I think they will soon have some rooms/suites with kitchenettes, and I would recommend this option just to have some fresh snacks to hand when you don't want to leave the premises in the daytime. The town is a short walk (15 minutes) away downhill, and you can get the bus back up the hill with water and other provisions, but if you really want to stay put for the day, you will starve til dinner starts at 815pm!
food in the restaurant was excellent; location was beautiful
getting to and from the beach was not as easy as I thought it would be
