At first I didn't think this could possibly be my hotel, it's in a scary area and looks more like an abandoned hotel in a horror movie. The only reason I stayed is because my taxi driver ran away and it was after midnight. The room was a real dive. Mismash of furniture; and old TV and no phone. The topper was that the deadbolt wouldn't work so I stacked my luggage in front of the door. Definitely one to avoid.

The front desk staff is very pleasant and accomodating. I don't remember when last I stayed on the ground floor of a hotel in Florida but I did it twice on this trip and the ants were unbearable at both so I don't know whether this is business as usual for Florida in December. This room was otherwise clean, but smaller than I expected and had a shower stall--no tub--which was a great disappointment for me because the first thing I wanted to do after traveling is get in a tub and soak. The hotel is very close to the airport so that was great for our late arrival, but I'm glad I only booked the one night here, particularly since this location was more expensive than my second location. Additional pluses--Wifi worked fine. There was a refrigerator in the room, complimentary beverage upon arrival, and a continental breakfast in the morning.

I have stayed in this hotel a few times. The owner (who also manages the hotel) is always friendly and helpful. it is family/locally owned. The rooms are a bit small, but are clean; and the hotel is safe. It is located fairly close to 17th St. Causeway, I-595 and convenient for Port Everglades. For a few no frills nights, this is a great choice.

The owner made me feel more like I was staying at my best friends house. No matter what we needed he was there for help. A restaurant, he gave us directions to a fantastic place to eat. A ride to the cruise ship, he had someone set up to pick us up the next morning. The absolute best hotel I have ever stayed in.

It must be at least 40 years old. The room was extremely small, with both dead and alive bugs in it. The carpeting needs to be replaced. Wouldn't stay here again if the room was one third the price we paid.

If you are going between the airport and the port and just need a place to overnight...this is it. It's the closest to both that I could find... it's resonable in price...the people there are great and bend over backwards to take care of you. The rooms are small and nothing fancy but you're only there to sleep. They have coffee in the room, and snacks, drinks and small breakfast in the lobby. There is a pool but I wasn't there long enough to see or use it. They also have a driver available to get you to the port or airport as needed, and he was exceptional and willing to go out of his way to help you and/or take you wherever you wanted to go.

Hotel is very conveniently located near the airport. Staff was very helpful with directions and calling a taxi for my return to the airport. Rooms are not large but very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast is offered in the morning. Not a place you may want to stay for a vacation but but a great place to stay if just traveling through or in Ft. Lauderdale for only a couple of days.

This is an older small Motel that looks well maintained (but not resort beautiful) from the outside, but everything on the inside is great! I was welcomed with a cold beer (or water) and the owner couldn't have been nicer upon check-in. The room I had was small, but CLEAN! and everything you could want. A comfortable bed (with lots of pillows), closet, desk, mini-fridge, and microwave. The bathroom, too was old, but clean and functional. Although I did not take advantage of it, a continental breakfast is served in the morning. Although I did not need access to a cruise or airline - it is VERY convenient to both. I reserved for 2 nights, but due to an emergency, had to leave after 1 night. I didn't find this out until well after the 11 o'clock check-out time. The charge for the second night was immediately deducted - I did not ask or expect that! If you are looking for a 5 star resort, then this is not your place, but if you are looking for a clean pleasant inexpensive place to stay - I...
