Food was very good. Room was nice - nothing too fancy, but well kept.
We enjoyed walking along the sandy beach,Then relaxing for a meal at the tiki. The next morning we enjoyed a great breakfast in the restaurant. The pool was fun, also enjoyed the exercise room.
rained while we were down there in florida, not the wyndham's fault, We enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham. although they were doing some kind of construction at the hotel, they were all very nice.
The king sized bed was very comfortable and it was a short walk to the beach. The tiki bar was convenient too.
The door handle was loose and so was a screw on the lock.
The beds were unbelievable! Wish we had one like it at home. The rooms were very clean the entire stay, beautiful location. Convenient gas station and shOppenheimer plaza within walking distance. Will come back!!
access to beach.
No hot water one night, staff unfriendly, not enough parking, feels like a low-end beach motel.
We were steps away from beach and pool! We loved the tiki bar and live band! Fun atmosphere!
the BED! It looked comfy but was hard as a rock! We would have stayed another night except the bed was very uncomfortable! Also, room was rather small for a hotel!
Fresh clean updated rooms
No umbrellas by the pool. Had to rent a cabana at the beach to have somewhere to relax after a long drive and arriving early. The hotel could offer this as a perk for no early check in available.
Loved the Tiki and the huge beach!
Might have been nice to have a shuttle from the Tiki to the beach chair area . Tough carrying all the gear out there .
Beautiful beach front ....right on the beach. Received a reasonable rate for being on the beach. The office staff was friendly. The beds were very comfortable. Liked the location on the south side of the island....away from the overcrowded north side and the college spring breakers.
The Pinchers Tiki Bar was extremely loud at night. The music blared into the room. The hotel was old and dated. The AC unit was extremely loud.
The place was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Having the tiki bar right by the pool was great! Live music and cheap drinks! Within walking/biking distance of more restaurants and shops if you're looking for a place with a little more action. Overall, it was just what I was looking for on my get away.
It's a little dated but lots of fun. Great staff and location!
Directly on the beach with restaurant and bar
It was a motel - not a hotel. Room was tiny and crowded
The bed was comfortable and linens clean. The pool area was nice. The hotel is on the beach although probably 300 yards or better from the water. The "Pinchers" restaurant on site is OK but really hit and miss with the quality of service depending on your wait staff. Thankfully there are better places to dine close by.
The hotel is an outdated leftover from the 60s or early 70s. It is an old Holiday Inn recently given the Wyndham name and it by no means deserves the Wyndham brand. The lobby is ramshackle with dirty diffusers in the ceiling and a painted board nailed to the wall behind the reception counter. The King room was very small. There looked to be new paint in the room and new furniture but this does not make it a Wyndham Resort. The bathroom door looks to be the original metal door with a poor paint job and painted hinges with a tub inset and poor caulk job reminiscent of a roadside motel. A very overpriced room. I thought we were getting a beach view with a balcony. The view was of the parking lot which when you look left, yes you can see the beach and the balcony is a common covered walkway in the 1960s style. The girl at the desk at check in stated that policy was to give all rooms booked through third party booking sites a standard room no matter what the site stated and that we should have confirmed on our own after booking. It was by no means the "deluxe" king we thought we were getting for the outrageous price paid which would have been fair had we gotten the room we expected. Priceline customer support in whatever country we called would not offer help in anyway. A very disappointing stay overall but thankfully the weather cooperated and we didn't spend much time in the room.
