Well known as the home of the Zeppelins; Friedrichshafen has developed itself to a cultural centre. Visit the Zeppelin museum or the school museum. In addition Friedrichshafen is a favoured place for well known fairs like the Eurobike or the Outdoor fair. Taking a bus or ship Friedrichshafen is a starting point for many different excursions in one of the neighboring countries like Switzerland; Austria or Liechtenstein. Places like Lindau; Meersburg; Insel Mainau; Pfaender and Saentis are recommended. Additional information; Children under the age of 8 stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 9-14 pay 20 EUR per night. The hotel reception is only open until 11.30pm therefore check in after this time must be communicated to the hotel in advance.
