Cons:

Have cars available when customers are set to pick them up. Don't book here if you have a schedule as you won't make it on time.

Took almost 3 hours to get our rental three different vehicles before they gave us one that was able to be used. The manager told us that he would give us a discount at the end of the rental which never happened. When they change the vehicles they never change the dates on the return and had it as a one day rental with a week rate. You got a call two days before it was due back saying it was to be returned on the day I picked it up and it was ready for a week. We let them know ahead of time that I had a service dog and they gave us a vehicle which will lock the dog in the back of the vehicle not being able to get to us. So we had to wait for them again to clean a vehicle talk to hours and 45 minutes to get the vehicles that they offered clean. However everthing Else was excellent as far as the vehicle itself and the return was easy it just to close almost 3 hours to get the vehicle which made us rent a motel room for an additional night instead of being down while we needed to be for a meeting

Had an extensive wait time when picking up the vehicle simply because it just wasn’t ready. This location cleans the cars before they are picked up instead of after they are returned. Hertz was unresponsive when I called them on multiple occasions. I Did not get help with roadside emergency when I needed it, had to make my own arrangements due to extremely long hold times. Vehicle cleanliness was terrible, had to wait over an hour for the car to be cleaned to find it was only vacuumed. I had a problem with an air leak in the passenger front tire, I cannot prove it but I suspect vehicle was rented to me in this condition simply because the tire was low the next morning after I picked it up, just seemed like too much coincidence but You never know. Hertz did not acknowledge this and said I was responsible for tire replacement if it was irreparable. Haven’t heard back yet on the outcome of that but the car has 29k miles, well over half the life of the tire, so I should not have to pay for a new tire since I did not have a new tire to begin with. Will not be renting from this location again, nor will I rent from hertz period. Very disappointed.

The cost for the rental was great. Drove Well out of my way to this location just for that.

The car wasn’t ready at my pickup time. The vehicle type I requested was available but the associate insisted I upgrade which I refused. I looked at 3 cars, all of which were dirty and needed to be cleaned so I had to wait for that. It looks to me that the cars are not cleaned when they are returned but before they are rented out. I finally drove off 2 hours after my scheduled pickup time Which set my trip back. I ended up having to keep the car for 3 extra days due to unforeseen circumstances so I had attempted to reach someone at that office Several times on several different Occasions over a period of those three days to let them know I had to keep the vehicle longer but was not able to reach anyone there or leave a message for someone to call me back. I also had gotten stuck in a mud rut on the side of the road when I pulled over to check my phone. I was in need of roadside service which happened during normal business hours but the roadside assistance line said the wait times were longer than expected so I had to wait on hold for well over 30 minutes. I ended up calling a local tow truck to come and help me out. Fortunately I was able to wait but I’m not sure what would have happened had this been a real emergency that required immediate assistance. I’m not sure when this happened so I can’t say the car was given to me like this but during the course of my trip Starting a few hours after my trip started, the low pressure light came on for the front passenger Tire. I put some air in and went on my way. This happened a few times during my trip so it was clear there was a leak in the tire. I didn’t have to fill that often so I just filled it up when it needed it until the last couple of days. The problem had gotten significantly worse which forced me to fill it several times a day. Just overall, a mediocre experience.

My reservation was for 5pm. I arrived at 4:45 to find the location had closed at 4 and would not open until 8am the next day. I was leaving town at 7am so I had was forced to cancelled the reservation.

Thought I was getting unlimited mileage but the small print said 1750 miles included. Went about $400.00 dollars over that. My fault but I am sure many people missed the very small print.

Pros:

They did NOT have the car I rented or a similar car! What they had was nothing close to what I had rented. The person at the counter was rude and unhelpful. I ended up renting from another company while standing in the lobby at Budget. This was on Christmas Eve and it cost me 250.00 more. I want that money back from soneone and am ready to go after them I will NEVER use Budget Rent car again.

Reserved an Intermediate SUV, but found out what that actually is, is the smallest SUV you can get. They only call it intermediate, but there is no size they offer smaller, that is the smallest. Intermediate MEANS middle so this is deceitful. That wouldn't have even fit three of our suitcases, so we upgraded to a larger one, which is of course what they intend. They also had us down to pick it up at noon, and online it shows their hours on Sunday as closing at noon. So, we got there at 11 to pick it up, and they tried to charge us extra for picking it up "early." They ACTUALLY closed at 2pm, but that's not what it says on their website so we had no way of knowing. Plus, we're not keeping the car any longer than planned if we drop it off at 11am. My husband took issue with the charge and they ended up taking it off. So there are ways they try to sneak in more charges, just pay attention. Call for hours, you can't trust the website. And intermediate actually means SMALL.

Car was clean. I ordered a smaller car (Ford Focus) because I wanted good gas mileage. They did not have one when I showed up so after spending 10 minutes trying to get me to pay more money for an upgrade they gave me the bigger SUV (Chevy Equinox) at the same price. The care was very nice, very comfortable so it is hard to complain but it is not what I asked for.

Cons:

I called the Frisco Location I rented from and confirmed they had a dropbox and that it was OK to drop the car off after hours Wednesday night. I was paying through Thursday morning but I had no problem with that. I received an conformation E-mail that they received the car on Friday morning. I asked them what they charged me and they added an extra day charging me through Friday even though the large white SUV was parked a few feet from their front door. I asked them to remove the extra day and said I had the gas receipt from the gas station they share a parking lot with to confirm the time and date I dropped off the vehicle. They said there was nothing they could do but they would talk to the manager next week about it!!!

They tried to rip me off! didn't provide me with a damage for the existent damage and the employee said will provide it latter but I took pictures before I use the vehicle. Now they are saying the car never been damaged and I have to be charged for the old damages as according to their system the car never been damaged and the vehicle year is 2021! I disputed it and sent my proves but it is very poor management and it is stress and anxiety no needs for me to go through I put down a cheaper options to be with reputable company but National/Enterprise prove me wrong.

I never got a car. They said that if the reservation was made less than 24 hours before there were no cars available. Get it together.... don't set up your system to allow reservations if there are no cars available. It reminds me of airlines overbooking flights.

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. I highly recommend them, been using them for the past 3 yrs everytime i travel and not 1 issue..

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. 1. The car agency was closed when we arrived in LA, without any instructions to go to ACE. 2. We had to locate another agency to obtain a vehicle and exit the airport. Terrible experience and to know that they are NOT even aware that the vehicle was never picked up. DO NOT CHARGE FOR A VEHICLE THAT WAS NEVER DELIVERED.

Was not able to pick up the car. Because we are local residents and did not have the required paperwork needed. Associate that helped us was rude and not helpful. He was also on his personal phone while he was with us. He said something and I didn’t understand so I asked him to repeat himself and he just pointed to his ear. The whole time he was giggling to whatever he was listening to. I’m so sorry I didn’t get his name because I would’ve included here

Drop off was understaffed. I was charged a late fee because it took 15 minutes for someone to get to me to review the car, and they submitted their report 10 minutes after my drop off time. This company also requires you to have full coverage, not just collision. I do not own a car and so had to pay an extra $30 a day to them for this coverage.

I am Brazilian and the guy didn’t explain everything alright! I had reserved a car by 150 dolls and my contract came by 320! He didn’t told me that!!! On the other hand, also came a 300 bill that wasn’t refunded yet! Can any one talk to me?

Easirent did not post their hours. When we arrived at the airport the only thing we could do was rent from another car company. They closed at 6pm and our plane landed at 6:05. Instructions were unclear and hopefully I am not charged as I will dispute the charges since no services were rendered.

Line was long, I book my car for 12 but by the time i get my car it was 2pm, they never have the car I booked for, I booked a RAV-4 and they gave me a small sedan, they offered me other car that was smells and some some car the key doesn’t work properly.

Nothing was good. I will never use them again, or Kayak for that matter. There was no (obvious) mention of the fact that the facility closes at 6 pm. No other airport rental car facility closes that early. My flight landed at 5:50 and by the time I got off the plane and called for thier (call-to-arrange) shuttle, they had closed and there was no one even answering the phone at 5:59 pm. I had to Uber all over town to dinner, hotel, meetings, lunch and back to the airport. Never had a more worthless rental car experience.

The pick up drop off experience was horrible. Especially when dropping the car back off. The guy had AirPods in on the phone and they didn’t say a single word to me just waved me on. The pickup process they didn’t give my ID back and had to go back for it. Customer experience needs work

getting a ride from airport took half an hour, initial phone contact number didn't pick up, 17 callers wait for call to be answered. At drop off in early morning the office was closed, fortunetly one of the hotel workers saw me and another woman and told us where to park and drove us to airport.There should have been a sign at door directing to Hotel.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
