The Barcelo Castillo Beach Resort hotel is located on the Caleta de Fuste seafront, in Fuerteventura, which is well known for its dunes and for being an excellent destination for windsurfing. The island has been designated a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Due to its arrangement in comfortable bungalows, the resort is the perfect setting for a family holiday. The hotel offers a large variety ofservices and facilities. Chill out and enjoy the thalassotherapy centre, the spectacular swimming pool areas and spacious terraces with sea views, while your children enjoy one of the hotel's professional shows, the miniclub or participate together in the kid's day and night-time activities programme. The ideal holiday for families and friends.
Our bungalow with its south facing patio was very quiet but yet only 50 metres from the pool and 100 metres from the large sandy beach.
The cooking facilities (2 rings and a micro-wave oven) were barely adequate for two people, it would make any self catering for more than two people a problem.
I liked the all inclusive service and the restaurant choices in terms of food variety. The location is nice as well.
I did not like the room cleaning service as it did happen only 3 times in 1 week and those times anyhow was just putting the towels back on the racks but nothing more.
the bungalos are good,in a exellant location-near to the center and in fact in the see side.
the furnitures was not very good, I think it will be better to change some of them.
Beautiful setting, lovely bungalows with a sense of privacy.
Arena bar, which was busy, had only one toilet which was not very pleasant. Crockery and cutlery ran out at busy times, even though the restaurant was never full.
We loved almost everything about this hotel apart from the small niggles mentioned below. Loaction, facilities, rooms, food, staff (mostly) were all top class. Definitely a hotel we will be returning to and would highly recommend.
Some of the staff in the Menu Restraunt were very unhelpful and trying to get a clean table outside on the patio was often difficult. Arena bar staff were often unfriendly and "All Inclusive" bar closed too early (23:00) Could do with some activity after the entertainment finished at 22:30, possibly some music or disco?
Our daughter who was nearly two was able to stand in the childrens swimming pool and this gave her the confidence to learn to swim. The food was great with lots of choices and the staff were very friendly and helpfull
It would have been nice to have a few more English tv channels to choose from (not that we spent much time in the room)
The friendleness of the staff
We had a wonderful beach view terrace and our room was great. The room had a bedroom, bathroom, living area and a small kitchen. However we went all inclusive, which I highly recommend, so we didn't need the kitchen. The food was great and there was plenty of it. However, if you chose to cook, there's a nice supermarket right on the premise. The hotel staff was excellent. We highly recommend
