We were told smoking rooms had an odor but some none-smoking rooms also had an odor it was a mildew smell and had to keep candles lite to mask it. The iron and hair dryer were missing from the room. The heater in the pool was broken. The men's public restroom and fitness center were both out of order. The continental breakfast consisted of bagels, cereal, bead with toaster, boiled eggs, coffee and juice every morning we were there 4 nights and it was the same. The staff said they were about to close for renovation hopefully sooner then later. There were parties about every night. We use to stay at this hotel when it was Holiday INN Express boy has it gone down hill. We were having a family reunion with several of us coming from out of state I recommended this hotel. I was embarrassed when several of us stayed there. My niece came and accidentally went in the wrong room (door was open) where people were smoking pot and a lot of noi...
Public spaces were less than clean. Walking down the hall to our room, one room was open. The smell was horrible, and there was a fan in the room, as if to dry something. Generally, just not a clean hotel. Shower curtain smelled like urine.Public spaces were less than clean. Walking down the hall to our room, one room was open. The smell was horrible, and there was a fan in the room, as if to dry something. Generally, just not a clean hotel. Shower curtain smelled like urine, and the towels were like sandpaper. Just not a very good experience.
The water was very hot In the shower and the beds were amazingly comfortable.
The pool smelled like a fish tank.
it was better two years ago !!!!
Did not get a king smoking room as guaranteed-had to sign paper agreeing not to smoke - pool was too hot to swim in (113 degrees) - jacuzzi and the phone in the room did not work - drunks hanging out around pool entrance - This was the first night! HatedI certainly did not get what I paid for and will never stay at this hotel again. Grated they comped the second stay and it was just as bad - this time the pool was extremely cold - apparently the pool maintenance guy does not know how to maintain it to 77 degrees....the room keys were not activated (twice I had to get the clerk to assist) and the clerk stayed outside smoking most of the time and we had to wait for her assistance.....the room smelled awful. Needless to say, I did not get my money's worth and will not stay with them ever again. Baymont Inns is awful!!!!!
It was relatively easy to find.
The internet connection that was advertised was not available in the room that I was in at first. After several tries the desk clerk finally told me that only the rooms next to the elevators had access to internet and I should ask for a room change. Some staff members were truly interested in offering a good experience but others did not seem to be so involved.
It was close to everything
Everything! It was nasty! There was cat food on the floor by the ice machine the whole time we were there. The pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. No clean towels when housekeeping cleaned our room had to ask but they weren't clean yet. No Kleenex TV hardly worked couldn't get the WiFi and the breakfast was awful. Hard boiled eggs sitting in warm water, yogurt sitting in warm water coffee tastes like it sat for days and just rewarmed. Half the outlets in the room didn't work either. When I tried to talk to staff I was blown off like I was to just deal with it. I will never go back.
We had no WiFi in our room, no remote for tv, so they moved us to another room still no WiFi, and not very clean. I would not stay there again.
Upon entering the hotel the staff member behind the desk was on her mobile phone speaking to a friend. I had to stand there and wait for her to finish before I could check in. The wifi only works if you sit in the hall. DIRTY!!!! Horrible. This was a horrible experience. Upon entering the establishment I was made to wait to check in, due to the fact that the customer service person was on her mobile phone speaking to a male friend. Then as I was loading my luggage in the hotel the woman coming on shift wouldn't even hold the door for me. Then I entered the room where I found bugs and cigarette butts on the floor. My remote had batteries taped in and it still didn't work. Which did not matter because the tv didn't either. The free wifi they offer only works if you are willing to sit in the hallway. VERY disappointed would never recommend this hotel ever!
Had 2 grandchildren saved us the cost of breakfast every morning , waffles, cereal hard boiled eggs, fruit juice bagels, sweet rolls, muffins and toast
They open the pool doors and that allows anyone access to the hotel as to go in the pool requires a key but doing this allows anyone in the pool area to enter the hotel unseen.
