The historic charm and character, the friendly staff that went above and beyond to accommodate us, and the location of the hotel exceeded expectations.
The location is great, literally steps from the Hot Springs. The staff was great!
I realize it's an extremely old hotel but room amenities could use some updating. Also, we were told room service was 'full' and that we could come down to the resturant if we wanted food when we called for breakfast - kind of annoying and rude. Our stay overall was great! Our main point of going to Glenwood was to go to the Hot Springs and Vapor Caves, both of which are super close to the hotel. They also allow dogs which was a plus. If you are looking for a modern hotel though, I'd pick somewhere else.
Everything was pleasant and easy going. Lots of parking.
Everything was nice except it is so old, e.g. heat in room was by a radiator. Bathroom and shower old style but very clean and efficient. Seemed strange.Prefer motels/hotels with early comp breakfast.
Really great location, super friendly staff, pretty lobby area and room with old-timey feel.
The bed was memory foam-y. It sank in too much on my pressure points and retained too much heat but some people don't mind that. The parking was atrocious because the hotel was completely full, but a staff member offered to move her car for us!Don't go to this hotel expecting luxury, quiet nights, and large bathrooms. Its over 100 years old so the walls creak, the bathrooms are small and the décor is old fashioned with a ski-lodge type feel. For what this hotel is, its great. Great service, nice and clean, and I found the antique vibes really cool. I would recommend to winter travelers.
I love this wonderful historical hotel. It has a lot of history and character.
Because it's very old, the shower was hand held with no place to hang the nozzle. We also loved siting I the lobby by the fireplace.
Stunning. Romantic. Great gathering spaces.
Heater in room would be nice.Outstanding experience.
It was in a great location, right across the street from the Hot Springs Pool. The staff at the front desk were excellent, very helpful, great attitudes.
Thin walls, huge gap under the doors, small room, bathroom floor was sticky amd could use a good bleach scrub. If you are into the history of the hotel it would be an ideal place, but what we paid for seemed a bit extreme for what they offered. The room was small, you could hear everything out in the hall and see the hall light from under the door. The staff was very nice, you can bring your pet(s). Hot Springs pool is literally across the street.
Good location, lovely lobby with fireplaces
Very old heating system. The steam radiators make a lot of noise during sleeping hours. Also, it took a lot of effort to get hot water in my room. No fridge, no microwave.
