The hotel was clean and in good condition. It was nothing fancy, but it was a nice place that was well taken care of and had a great location downtown with enough parking. The staff were great and very friendly. The only thing that we were disappointed with was the continental breakfast which was very bleak.
We stayed there during Michigan Tech's Family Weekend, all other area hotels were full. The floor we stayed on had nothing but non-smoking rooms, but there was a very strong smoke odor that was worse than a bar. Perhpas because of the room shortage smokers went ahead and booked non-smoking rooms and then preceded to smoke up a storm in them, I'm not sure, but it was really frustrating and a little annoying. The doors to the rooms had about a 1 inch gap at the bottom allowing any smoke to enter our room as well, which made our stay very uncomfortable. We will not be staying here again..
Sharp professional front dest clerk, although she appeared high school age. Very polite and informative. The room we got was exactly what we wanted. Very clean and neat and quiet.' Have recommended this hotel to others and will do so in the future. We will be coming back in Oct. for a weekend to visit our Tech daughter, can't wait for the comfy bed.
I thought the rooms where really nice and cleans. It didn't have that old hotel room smell. The continental breakfast was ok. I didn't like the fact we had to wait on the frontdesk clerk to let us use the microwave late night and she had and attitude because it took us about ten minutes. I liked how it was set up like townhouses with front porch you could sit on. The people were friendly except for the attitudey lady. A GREAT PLACE TO STAY
If you are looking for a clean place to stay without breaking the bank this a a great place to stay. A liitle hard to find if you do not know the area, helpful hint: it'll be on your left side on the corner of Hancock Rd and Revine St.
The accomodations were very good. It allowed travel both north & south. The room was large and service was very good. We would stay again, if in the area.
VERY nice room. Large room; large bathroom area. NON-SMOKING / Pet room: what a novel idea. We have a pet but don?t smoke. We had a great stay. The staff was very friendly. Would recommend this motel, especially to people traveling with pets. Would definitely stay at this motel again.
I found the rooms both spacious and clean. The furniture appeared to be new and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is located right in the middle of Hancock with several restraunts in walking distance. Almost connected to the hotel is the Kaleva Cafe that serves breakfast and lunch, very convenient. I found the place affordable and comfortable I would stay their again..
The room was big and very clean. A wonderful Continental breakfast served with (make your own waffles -- cereal, hot & cold -- bread, bagels, donuts -- juice, milk, & coffee and also fruit. For a family traveling this is an ideal start to a great day.\nThe staff were very friendly and courteous.\nWe would recommend this hotel for anyone's stay while in Hancock.
This hotel was friendly, the continental breakfast was good, but the rooms needed better cleaning. We had dog hair on the chairs, dog food on the floor the whole 3 days we stayed there.
