Pros:

The process for both pick-up and drop-off were super quick and easy, despite obvious limitations with covid.

Cons:

They left me in the dark about my refund for my deposit for using a debit card at pick-up. Still unsure if and when I’ll be receiving it back.

Our flight wasn't until 7:30 p.m. and the car had to be returned at 11 a.m... We called Andrew at the Hartford location and for 4.$ extra we were able to keep the car until 4. They also allowed us to drop the car at a location closer to the airport. The experiecne made our trip that much more enjoyable. Thank you Enterprise. Your new loyal customers,

When I arrived to pick up my rental there were 5 people in front of me all waiting for their rentals. I was told there were no rentals at that time and I would have to wait until the clerk’s supervisor called and told her what to do. She had no idea when I would get my rental. I left there with a Ford Explorer which is a far cry from a Kia compact at about 3:30 pm. I waited 21/2 hrs for that. The clerk was efficient, but the wait and the fact that there was no car waiting was inexcusable as I had a reservation. Why did I reserve a rental at all ?

Decent car and decent drop off experience.

Cons:

Upon pickup in Hartford, the employee was very unwilling to review scratches and damage prior to the trip and there was a lot. Employees were using vulgar raciest language with each other directly in the presence of several customers. Generally, terrible pickup location in an unsafe neighborhood.

Did not pick up car I specifcally explained a Bradley air port area pick up and when I got to Bradley to pick up the car I was told the pick up was in Hartford the rental at the airport cost me $450 dollars more. Very unhappy

Pros:

Good car, clean, well maintained. Friendly, efficient staff.

Cons:

Not enough staff at the Liebert Road site. When I picked the car up there was a thunderstorm coming up, and one poor fellow had to deal with a line of people impatient to get going, another line of people wanting to return, as well as the necessary inspections of outgoing and incoming vehicles. He should never have had to do this alone. That said, he did a great job considering the circumstances.

Terribly understaffed, one agent with more than 20 customers waiting more than an hour. Confusion about cars, cars missing keys, awful service.

Pros:

Very friendly and helpful! My problem is with Priceline. They scheduled this at a downtown location, which after I got off the airplane had no way to get to before closing. System shouldn’t have allowed. I selected BDL airport and couldn’t have known what street the car rental places are. Avis worked with me but airport fees made the care over $100 more. I won’t be ordering from Priceline again. I will order from Avis directly. They are great.

The convenience and service I received at the time of pick-up and drop-off. Easy and seamless.

I have never rented from Avis before but I have rented a car with other companies prior to this experience. I expected the Avis employee to walk with me to the vehicle and inspect the vehicle prior to me leaving with the vehicle. That did not happen. I was handed the keys and told I was all set. I walked to the car and noticed that it was dirty inside, leftover papers in the trunk and wrappers in the back door. About half way through my 750 mile commute I received a maintenance required notification on the dashboard for the rear seatbelts. I didn’t use the rear seat belts at all during my trip. The notification continued to prompt every time I would start the car. Just didn’t make me feel safe that all services/recalls weren’t serviced prior to letting a customer take the vehicle as a rental, especially with my lengthy trip.

So I mistakenly thought I booked the car for the Avis location close to the airport. Took the Avis shuttle from airport to their facility, and when the agreement screen popped up, the price showed as being close to $600!! I showed the clerk my reservation, with the price I agreed to as being $136, and the clerk said “Oh, I see the problem. Your booking is with the downtown Avis location, not the airport location.” So I used a rideshare app to go the 20 minutes to the proper facility, and got the price I was promised. But - are you freaking KIDDING ME? It costs 4 times as much for the same car, with the same company, if you rent it from the airport location instead? price gouging, anyone??? On the plus side, once I was at the proper location, the transaction was very smooth and the clerk very helpful

They tried to rip me off! didn't provide me with a damage for the existent damage and the employee said will provide it latter but I took pictures before I use the vehicle. Now they are saying the car never been damaged and I have to be charged for the old damages as according to their system the car never been damaged and the vehicle year is 2021! I disputed it and sent my proves but it is very poor management and it is stress and anxiety no needs for me to go through I put down a cheaper options to be with reputable company but National/Enterprise prove me wrong.

I never got a car. They said that if the reservation was made less than 24 hours before there were no cars available. Get it together.... don't set up your system to allow reservations if there are no cars available. It reminds me of airlines overbooking flights.

Highly disappointed with this company, this company decides that they are above the federal law and will not accept cash as occurrency. And you're only option is to follow whatever they want otherwise you cannot take a car and all of your holiday will be ruined.

The night before they were going to take my credit (chime credit not bank) . My son was stuck in Florida with his four year old. They wouldn’t rent it me, my. Ex husband went with exact same kind of card. And they rented go figure!

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
