Pros:Easy pick up and drop offCons:The cars speakers were messed up, the light for the clock and stereo system didn’t work, there was no back up camera. Most of all the steel light bugged me as I couldn’t see anything on there and then on the last day the light appears! So dumbReviewed Apr 20 2021

Worst rental experience everCons:The rental counter at the Bakersfield airport told me they had no cars available, however, two other people in the airport came up and told me they had been told the same thing but if you sat down and made an online reservation there would miraculously be cars. I tried this and sure enough, I drove off in a car. The laziness of the customer service agents to turn away customers is astonishing. The car I received was not the model I had booked and it had not been cleaned in quite awhile. The inside windshield was so dirty it was hard to see through at night and in the rain.Reviewed Dec 15 2018

Pick up in Bakersfield CaliforniaPros:New carCons:I RESERVED a sub compact. When I went to pick up my RESERVATION I was told there were no cars and all they had was a van. Fortunately, the gentleman behind me was dropping off a Kia Rio and I was able to get that car. The PEOPLE there were great, sympathetic and worked hard to prep the car quickly. Your check in computer also gave the agent grief as it would not accept my postal code (I'm from Canada), necessitating a call to the supervisor for assistance.Reviewed Oct 26 2018

Awful experience overall.Pros:Pick up was easy.Cons:Not accommodating. Couldn’t change my payment option. Charged way to much for the car I got. Car was already messed up. Being charged for the express drop off, knowing they are not going to check the box right away. Paid too much for a mediocre care. Nothing comparable to enterprise. Pros:Excellent drop off service - we needed to find the shuttle to the LAX Westin, and one of the Hertz employees dropped us off instead. Thank you! The replacement car (see other comment box) was not cleaned, but we accepted it since we needed to leave ASAP.Cons:The car we reserved needed service, and we were not made aware of it when we came in to pick it up.Reviewed Apr 17 2018
