Cons:Car was dirty. Food crumbs in the seat, etc.
Cons:Car options were very limited. The opportunity to extend the agreement was too expensive.
Pros:The car.
Cons:The deposit can't be paid with cash or debit card and can't be split between two cards (the deposit has to be on the same card as the rental apparently). Furthermore, I was never even told during reservation process that I needed one at all. (Or if I was it was buried in fine print) It took me 3 hours of phone calls and taxi rides to get $200 cash wired to my credit card via moneygram so I could pay my deposit and rental on the same card! With these absolutely restrictive policies customers should be forewarned clearly about the deposit and the stringent rules around paying it. I'm highly disappointed with the entire process of booking, but the car itself was great.
Pros:The staff were ncie, particularly the district manager

Cons:When the reservation was made, I was asked if I wanted insurance, I said no. I was not asked that question again at the rental counter yet instead of the 214.99 rental car agreement I authorized, I was charged over 400.00! I tried to call Hertz the night of the rental when I realized the error, and they were closed. I called first thing the next morning. And spoke to two other people after that. I even drove out to the airport to get the insurance off of the rental which I didn't approve in the first place. A complete nightmare. The rental was solely picked based on price and this was a bait and switch!
Cons:I usually select the managers special which was $560 where they choose the car. They had options available but elected to give me a compact for the $560 for 9 days. Really? A compact for 9 days at $560? I cancelled my reservation at that point I usually get good options of a mid size or better, and most of the time a full size truck, hence why I go with the manager special. I explained to them I was carrying 4 people around for a week and they didn't seem to care. I had doubled booked with Enterprise to cover myself. Glad I did. At Enterprise I got a luxury SUV for the same price. I guess Hertz didn't need my $600?
