Pros:I reserved an Altima and ended up with a similar. A Sonata, it was a good car. Everthing worked and the satellite radio was great. The mpg was 37.5 going full interstate speeds, with the a\c on high. The Sonata was not as comfortable as the Altima would have been. The agents were professional. I paid in advance & and bought the insurance. My personal policy would have covered any issues but for $72 for 7 days, it was worth it to me. Except for being 30 miles away, the outlet was clean and my time to pick-up and drop off was short. I drove the car 450 miles, parked it and then drove 450 miles home after 5 days. All in all, it was a good experience, the car did well and my vacation was great. I will use Hertz and or Kayak again. Thx,
Cons:I reserved an Altima. The Sonata I ended up with was scratched up and some small dents and a some damage on the bumper. It smelled of smoke, but I called the next day and told them about it and it was noted. There were no issues upon check in. I also took 20 pictures of the car and mentioned the damage to the agent before I left the lot. I took a co-worker to lunch the next day and she asked why the car smelled of smoke? I immediately called because everything I signed said"Not to smoke in car or face $400 + smoking fine." So if I had not said something, I would have owed that. Look the vehicle over and smell it, use your phone & take plenty of pictures. Try and show or at least tell agent before you leave. The car was clean outside but door jams were filthy. 950 total miles, and Altima seats would have been more comfortable. All & all, it was a good experience. I will rent again.
