Valet staff was cool
Rude front desk...guy at check in was professional and courteous, but ladies at check out including the manager were rude and even hung up on me when inquiring about extending our stay! Checked out and went to Hilton Hawaiian Village for an additional 3 nights, and the level of care there was worth the additional we spwnt on activities and tips there. I would not recommend this hotel, sorry.
The location was okay and the second room I stayed in after asking to move because of the paper thin walls would have been okay if not for the extreme construction noise starting at 8am.
There was a complete lack of privacy and even without the construction there is so little sound proofing that it's like you're sharing the room with your neighbours. And the housekeeping staff is very noisy in the hallway early in the morning and throughout much of the day. The pool is small and gets little direct sunlight. If you decide to rent a car, parking is $35 a day plus tips. The staff plays dumb to complaints. And the housekeepers don't knock or call before walking into your room. There were a lot of disapointed guests during my stay. I would never recommend this hotel--even without the construction.
Dark bathroom. Paper thin walls. Construction sounds starting at 9am officially but unofficially started at 7:45am. This should be great when the renovations are complete. But until then I would look elsewhere.
The location is good. King bed was good. Microwave and fridge were helpful. The lobby was more impressive than the rooms. Staff was helpful.
The outdoor hallways for getting to the rooms are scary. The rooms are small for the price. Shower took a long time to get hot. Fold out couch bed not comfortable. Could use some plastic ware. Valet parking was the only choice and very expensive, but maybe that's the going rate in Waikiki. A/C on outer wall doesn't reach inner room unless door and blinds are left open. Bathroom needs a shelf for guests to place their toiletry bags.
Nice and clean hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool is very nice and beautiful.
Bathroom is very small. Doors open right to the toilet. You can't even go thru. Very noisy outside all night long. Faucets in the bathroom and kitchen spray water all over the counter and its dripping on the floor. It is too expensive.
Room was just like a motel. We were on the third floor and could hear every conversation the people at the sidewalk were having, with the balcony door closed! So you can imagine how loud it was given that the room was overlooking a busy tour bus stop. Single pane balcony doors that wouldnt close fully. The hotel (err motel) handyman came and jerry rigged something, but the door will slide open slowly from vibration making it noisier. Staff said they can't give us any other room for the rate we paid, which was $200+ per night excluding taxes. I think I should expect a little better from a name like Marriott. They should offer us a credit for the lousy experience we had. We moved to an apartment for a lower price and had a much better experience.
Rooms were musty smelling not clean very outdated carpet was disgusts didn't even want to walk on them without shoes on
Nothing. Bad hotel.
After a last minute confusion with our booking, we went on kayak to find a hotel to stay for the 2 nights/3 days I was here in Oahu. The Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki beach was a comfortable stay. Our room was facing a busy street (Kuhio st) with a bus stop that stops right in front. Thankfully for pandora, my iphone, and speakers, you can drain the sound. Location and price definitely was a plus. The valet were always pleasant and nice, as well as the front desk.
The room was small and a bit out dated. The rooms facing the street will get traffic noise.
Location was 3 blocks for the beach. Centrally located with bus stop right out front. Price was right $127 night plus taxes but not worth anymore for the size of the room.
Rooms were small and dated but comfortable I don't really think this was a hotel that was good for kids the pool was not heated and the hot tub is not a kids pool.
Check out was at a good time
The girls at the front were very nice
The royal tower was a piece. For $250 a night I expected better. The balcony looked like it was from the ghetto
Friendly staff and people
My door lock didn't work the first day. And the bathroom hadn't been cleaned at all; still urine in the toilet, shower had mildew. And the glasses looked like the old ones. Said it was just steps from the beach on the their ad but it was more like a 10 to 15 walk. Also their parking was 35 a night; never mentioned at all before booking.
the hospitality and the warm smiles I received from the staff.
their was a leftover cigarette bud left from the previous guess on the balcony. other than that everything was fine.
