Welcome to the Quality Inn, a Huntingburg hotel 4 miles south of Jasper and 16 miles to Holiday World & Splashin' Safari. This hotel is centrally located among corporate offices such as Kimball, Masterbrand, OFS, Styline, Jasper Engine, Touch of Class, Jasper Rubber, and Farbest Foods.
Our TV had a very small screen on the top right and the lady working wouldn't even come in the room to help me fix it. We had kids with us and I had to reset the tv myself and it took 30 mins or more for me to figure out how to fix it.
The window curtains could be better giving more privacy
The pool was wonderful
The no smoking law
Staff, Room, Pool, Location to our Destination
Wasn't impressed with the Continental Breakfast. Not much to choose from, and not everyone drinks skim milk (that was if you could find any).
The staff was extremely helpful and went the extra mile. The room was clean, the pool was clean and sparkling.
They definitely needed more/better pool furniture.
The Mexican restaurant right off the lobby!
The maids leave the door open while cleaning the room which results in a massive amount of flies and they don't have a fly swatter to help kill them so you just have to deal with them and it's not good!
Helpfulness of staff; very accomodating. The breakfast had a lot of variety to please most palates.
Hot water kept losing temperature, then blasting back to hot. A concern for younger children.
it was clean
yes it was hard to keep cool unless air was running constantly
Hotel was great for the price. Breakfast was quite adequate as well. My family enjoyed the pool and hot tub. There is also a Mexican restaurant inside the main lobby. (Which we were not told about) but if was very good and affordable.
Doors were worn, didn't close well ( had to make sure you shut it carefully if slammed it would pop open) And I had to get both of my keys replaced.
The pool was nice and it was close to Holiday World.
The room was not the cleanest...crumbs on the floor...but it was just fine for the night.
Room had a very bad smell and was dirty
The staff. They let us set off our 4th of July fireworks in the parking lot. Very accommodating when we asked to have our rooms switched to pool side. The restaurant inside was very good! Very convenient to have a restaurant in the hotel.
Friendly staff, nice pool & hot tub.
Rooms need updating.
great location friendly staff
we had an enormous amount of flies in the room and the toilet plugged up
The room was exactly what I wanted.
I didn't like the fact that I booked 2 rooms for my family b/c there was so many of us and our rooms weren't right next to each other like I expected. We were 18 rooms apart. Very inconvenient for us.
The rate was really good compared to other hotels in the area.
The motel grounds had an odor, but the room was just fine. The rooms are mostly all exterior entries, which I'm not a fan of. Pool is only open in summer months since it is out doors.
Hotel was all but empty and felt a bit unsafe. Breakfast provided seemed limited due to lack of people. Grounds were littered with cigarette butts. Outside access doors to all rooms. One room was empty, dark, and open that had to be passed all the time.
I was very upset with my stay at this hotel. The pool was not usable! It was completely green and had tons of waterbugs swimming in it! It was disgusting! On Friday night when we arrived I took my kids down to the pool to swim, my kids were very disappointed!! I talked with the front desk and she said it would be taken care of on Saturday, she offered to refund my money if we wanted to stay somewhere else, but should could not since I had gone through Priceline, she told me I had to contact them, which there was no phone # for them that I could get an actual person on the phone. :( By Sunday when we checked out of the hotel, the pool looked even worse then it did on Friday when we got there. We stayed 2 nights and my kids never once got to use the pool!! Very disappointed!!
Hotel was clean and comfortable. My only problem is that I had asked for 2 rooms with 2 beds in them and got 2 rooms with a bed and a fold-out couch - which was not comfortable.
pool, breakfast, king size vbed
They had booked all the rooms and the parties(baseball teams) were very loud and noisy and kept my company and me up till midnight!
Lots of breakfast options, staff was pleasant
each room had external entry, which isn't the most secure option. A little bit further from holiday world than I would have liked.
Very noisy place but have yet to find one in this area while staying for our annual Holiday World trip that hasn't been filled with families with noisy adults and kids. Outside is rather dated looking, but our room had nice furniture, was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Great deal on the price was the plus! Pool and on site restaurant okay. Just wish we didn't have to open our door at 2 am and ask people to keep it down.
The breakfast was acceptable. Hot and cold foods available.
It was a bit off the beaten path from Holiday World, but it was full of people who were going to Holiday World.
Yes, wet carpet, loud air conditioner, dirty rooms, hotel staff too busy to take my comments because they were on the phone. Literally took 20 minutes to get a hot shower.
the free hot breakfast and front desk worker changed my room from a one bed to a two bed room upon my request and was very friendly.
it's location is a little out of the way.
Had problem with loud guests in the pool area until 2:00am. Supposedly the night manager did try to quiet them.
The interior had been updated some and it had a restaurant on site.
Was a motel instead of a hotel. The exterior common areas were run down looking.
It was way off the interstate.. we were looking for something a little closer to the interstate.
Party all night long at the unsupervised pool where you can have beer and cocktails in the pool anytime of day! Let your children run the floors and prank call guest rooms all hours of the night while you relax and have cocktails in the hot tub. Don't worry about management there isn't any!!!
The bathroom was clean but was small and could use some updating. The grounds were nicely kept with the swimming pool a plus for families. The breakfast room was large and the food selection quite nice.
First, this is not a hotel, it's a motel. An old motel that has been renovated as a Quality Inn. If you stay here be sure to get a room that doesn't face the pool, otherwise you may be up until 11pm listening to the people outside. Found popcorn in my bed. I didn't eat popcorn, maybe the maid did. Also old Junior Mints stuck in the carpet. Honestly I never would have stayed here had I known it was a motel. The noise and 'old' nature of the buildings are to be expected in a motel. The popcorn in the bed is not. Stay up the road in Jasper, much more selection for the same money, and it's only 10 miles away.
I reserved this online - so no way of knowing that this was an older motel. The picture on the website is misleading. Pay attention to the directional sign on I-64. You will not be able to find this if you don't. The room was clean but old. Old carpet - old wallpaper. The bathroom is very small. We were on the 2nd floor and had to walk - No elevator. No inside entrance to your room. Everything is outside. The bed was comfortable, but at 11:30pm - anything is comfortable. We paid almost * for 1 night. Way too much!
The pool was very nice. The room was fairly clean, but the bathroom was very tiny and the door and lights didn't work very well. The staff was very helpful and breakfast was fantastic. They do also have a computer for guest use.
Older motel but very clean and well kept. No mold or mustiness. Close to Holiday World. Staff very friendly and worked to make our stay superb. Highly recommended!
