Cleanliness and privacy to some degree.
Not much parking after hours upon getting in and staff did not bring clean towels or clean the room while we were out like other hotels but guess this is how Candlewood Suites does it. Room was almost very close to having your own apartment for a stay.O.k
The room was really nice!!
It was a nice little 'apartment' with all of the amenities needed. Breakfast was not included with the room but it was okay. It was easy to bring a few ingredients and use the nice efficiency kitchen in the room to make breakfast.
It smelled like cigarettes in the bathroom. We couldn't figure out if it was coming through the vent or if the shower curtain was laundered near an area where smoking was permitted.
The King suite was definitely a good deal for the price. Very roomy and inviting. I would stay here again.
The hallways did have a little bit of an overpowering odor that was hard to take and my room key didn't work. When I called down to the desk, they said I had to come back down with all my luggage because they didn't have enough staff to bring me a new key
Rooms were spacious and clean
We could hear the elevator when in use, but got used to it. They may want to tell people if the room is behind the elevator, it may cause some to dislike their room.
close to downtown with very easy access. great suite with kitchen, separate bedroom, and livingroom.
slow elevator, no breakfast.
The space of the room is great. I like the two bedrooms, the kitchen and dining area.
The bathroom is kind too small, compared to the large space. I don't like the surface of the floor in the bathroom. When get wet, easy to fall. The equipment in the bathroom is a bit out dated.
The size of the room and layout!
They charge for the shuttle and no ice machines.
Location and free parking. Walking distance to the medical center. Also close to lots of takeout restaurants
The corner room we had was HUGE!! LOVED IT!
The lazy boy we had in our room was tattered and torn.
The apartment like atmosphere is very practical. We can save money by buying our own food and actually having the space to prepare and enjoy it. Also, the separate bedroom is ideal.
The door to my room would not lock from the outside. We had to switch rooms.
Large rooms, clean and comfortable. Nice in-room kitchen area with full fridge and other appliances. Good work spaces in living area and bedroom.
It was further from downtown Indy than I had hoped, couldn't walk to my destinations. They do have a shuttle service for a small price (not so great if you are in a hurry to get somewhere, but good).
Clean, close to conference destination, enjoyed the layout, free coffee and popcorn, and other amenities.
Priceline advertised it as dirt centre. At city centre locations you can walk to activities downtown. This was 4 miles from city center. Tough walk at 10 degrees
Room has slight mildew smell.
It smelled...the 9th floor had a bad odor, our room smelled like stale cigarettes and it's a non-smoking facility....it wasn't located in downtown Indianapolis as stated...
Rooms were nice.
It was close to downtown, but I was looking for a downtown hotel and it was further out than I had hoped to be. Also part of the units had been converted to student apartments so there was a lot of student activity going on and VERY limited parking.
The size of the room, divided sitting area and kitchen.
Not crazy about the location.
The hotel is fairly modern, and my suite was as big as a one bedroom apartment.
It's a stretch to classify this hotel as a downtown location. It's actually on the west side, a couple of miles from downtown. That wasn't a problem considering I am familiar with the city, but don't plan on walking to sports or conventions.
I would not recommend this hotel to my dog! They neglect to tell you that this hotel is also an apartment building and dorm for IUPUI students. What does this mean? It means that they do NOT clean hotel guests room for 7 days. I stayed here for two nights and ended up cleaning the room myself. Do yourself a favor and pay the additional $40 a night to say in a real hotel.
Candlewood Suites was everything I hoped it would be. After a long 10 hour drive, I felt like I was at home. The suite was quite comfortable, equipped with everything I needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was easy access to everywhere.
I was very pleased with my stay at Candlewood. The rooms very spacious and clean, the staff very helpful from check in until we left. You get twice the room at half the cost. I travel for business and will always saty at Candlewood when in Indianapolis. If you are looking for value, this is the place. Safe secure FREE parking.
I was very pleased when I arrived to find I had a very nice suite, king bed, couch, desk, kichenette, everything as advertised. However, housekeeping never bothered to actually do anything, so I was reusing the same towels on the last 2 days of my 5-night stay (yuck). Additionally, the hotel decided to charge my debit card (which I had gotten specifically for the trip) ''incidental insurance'' fee which they have yet to remove from my account, even though it is still listed as ''pending,'' after I was told that it could take up to 10 business days to dissappear. It is now business day 12 after my trip, and I am making calls to the GM of the hotel on a daily basis and not getting called back. Additionally, the shuttle service drivers were surly and generally unpleasant. Also, the windows above the 2nd floor are sealed. While the room was nice, I cannot recommend it to anyone staying in the Indy are for these reasons.
I had never stayed at Candlewood Suites before, and I was not familiar with the Indianapolis area. This hotel is located just outside of Indianapolis about 5 minutes from downtown. The room was spacious and clean, and the hotel staff was very helpful. I would stay there again should I have to return to Indianapolis.
This hotel is adjacent to the IUPUI campus and therefore close to both downtown and the speedway. The hotel offers a free shuttle within 2.5 miles of the hotel and then there are free and cheap bus routes (we just rented a car for comfort after the surgery). The hotel was clean, quiet & comfortable. The hotel staff were nice and helpful. The only thing missing was a pool and a free continental breakfast although we were able to manage between the food for sale in the Candlewood Cupboard and the kitchen in the suite. I highly recommend this hotel.
