I didn't stay at the Inver Grove Heights Microtel. Their rooms were full. I was given a room at the Microtel in nearby Eagan. This was actually better. I can't really say anything about the Microtel in IGH.
The amenities were good. Breakfast was plenty. Staff was very quick to help.
No. We would recommend it to anyone and use it again.
All public areas were clean and comfortable. All accommodations clean and comfortable. They served wonderful coffee.
The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful when we needed directions. The price was great. : )
There was a slight urine smell in the room. The sheets were clean however, so since we spent little actual time in the room we did not complain.
Walls are a little thin. TV from the next room was loud and I could hear conversations thru the wall.
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean and efficient rooms.
The location was perfect.
The staff was not very knowledgeable. They also told me if I wanted to extend my stay that I needed to go through the hotel and they told me it would be $--- but on their website it was only $---.
It was very clean and quiet. There is an Outback right across the parking lot, which was nice, and a gas station across the street. We got there about 8pm, and left at 8:30am, so basically a quick work trip.
The breakfast was not great but acceptable. They had multiple cereals that were great, along with fruit, toast, donuts and yogurt. The hard boiled eggs and frozen waffles were not great. Coffee was good.
Room smelled like it had previously been a smoking room but the odor hadn't completely been removed. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't fresh-smelling either.
outback steakhouse is walking distance
Clean&pleasant - bkfst area was neat &dwell stocked.
Maid service was eratic
my room needed better lighting especially by the beds. I always iron my clothes so was really lost without an iron and ironing board
More of a suite than a hotel room. Pretty good breakfast in the morning.
The woman who checked me in was not very cordial but the front desk clerk the next morning was. Microwave in room was dirty.
Wonderful room. Wish we had more time to enjoy it.
It was an hour away from where we needed to be. But everything nearer was booked, or was really awful.
I needed a place to stay while in town for a conference and had never used the Microtel before. The price and location were right so I thought I'd take a chance. I was very pleased! The staff was courteous and helpful. The room, though definitely 'micro' in size, was clean and very comfortable. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.
Have stayed here twice in the last year when visiting from Calif; plan on staying again in Sep '10. Very good basic accommodations, friendly and helpful staff. Great location near freeway and restaurants.
